If bitcoin's value decreases, there's 2 choices of what i'll do to avoid loosing money. Firstly you should always observe the total market capitalization of whole crypto world, news, fuds and fundamental analysis just like what happening at the moment so you can decide if you are going to change to fiat or usdt, I think bittrex have usd pairings now because of what is happening on usdt market.
