Bitcoin $500,000 by 2020

If that's the price of bitcoin, I will retire early as possible.. All alts will pump also. The world will be rich and economy will getting better for each nation.

Bitcoin appears to be unstoppable at the moment which is very nice, but even nicer is the fact that it seems to be pulling alts along with it nicely indeed.  $500K in 3 years seems to me like a long shot but then again, who knows what tomorrow holds, let alone 3 years time.  If it were to be that high though, even with my 0.something BTC, I would be a happy chap indeed.  Might just buy a mini or something.

with the rate that bitcoin is going, i think it is possible to hit $500000 in 2020. Remember that in 1yr, bitcoin has done x12, imagine it does that for the next 3years. Also remember that more and more people know about bitcoin everyday.

Nothing grows geometrical forever.
Even the way it has grown in $ value by almost 9000$ in a year is insane.

500 000 per coin in 2020? I hate to say this word but is close to impossible.

In one year the price rose with 800% {that is a BIG achievement} Let's say this will happen for the next 3 years until 2020.... then we will have a price of $72 000 for 2018 and $576 000 for year 2019 and finally $4 608 000 for year 2020. This is not achievable at all at the current growth
rate. So $500 000 per bitcoin sounds impossible, but it is not too far fetched.  {hope my math is correct} 

The thing with extrapolation is that if you keep on you end up with pretty funny results...
You've got 4 mils by 2020, but why stop there? By 2030 one coin would be worth ~ 4000 trillion sand and 4 septillions  by 2040

I care about bitcoin reaching 10K but I do not want to think about bitcoin reaching 500K NOW. There are lots of stages before I even consider that to happen. Let us focus first on what is on hand. After bitcoin move past 10K, what are the problems inherit with a high price. Once all the problems are solved, then move to the next ATH. I will think of bitcoin at 500K when we are at 450K and not before that.

Now that's too much. The price of Bitcoin reaches $10,000 easily but that doesn't mean that Bitcoin's price will reach $500,000 by year 2020. That's too overpriced. That price may be just a fantasy for us. It is so difficult to predict the price of Bitcoin. Its value will still increase but I don't think it can reach that huge value.

500K is very large amount.But if see current trend 500K value is possible. According to my opinion value of bit coin value will fall to 6K in near future after then it will rise.

the price of s really reaches 500,000 US dollars, it means that BTC is accepted by more than 99% of the countries like gold in the world. Therefore, looking forward to seeing by 2020 whether BTC will be universal at that time Of the country, and more precious than the current diamonds.

I can see it reaching maybe 100k if there is over a trillion dollar market cap coming into Bitcoin and altcoins which would make BITCOIN go up ten times from today's price but I cannot see it going much more than that. I think 500k is too much to even fathom as a new all time high but did anyone foresee Bitcoin going to ten k this year? Everyone was saying it would reach 3k USD BY END of 2017.

Okay good read from the xapo. To be honest to reach the market of 500K USD per bitcoin it seems little deceptive because of the one and many facts that are related to bitcoin and its acceptance in the world. Bitcoin as we see today is all grown because of the investors who were investing into blindly some 7 years ago and they became the richer. However, in todays date we have crypto people who are just fluctuating the market to get the quickest profits form those artificial pumps. Bitcoin is growing naturally no matter about that but when people see some good reason to sell high then they will do it predominantly leading to down ward movement of the bitcoin.


So this is restarting factor one to make bitcoin that much worth by 2020. Im not saying that its completely impossible but not possible that faster. Apart from that it will need huge market capitalism to have that much sufficiency of delivering the price equal to 500K USD.

I was sceptical about the growth of Bitcoin in 6 digits especially in the next 3 to 5 years but considering the recent rapid boost and world's positive response to Bitcoin, I think at least $100,000 is definitely possible if there is no legal negative move from the governments around the world. The utility value of Bitcoin is increasing day by day and we will start using it to pay for actual goods and services without converting it into fiat currencies and speculation activities will reduce according to the fall in price volatility.

Your expectation on bitcoin will be possible not as soon as you expected to done in the chart. If there upcoming adoption rate high numbers we can expect the bitcoin to find the bumps more and more like how we see in this year.
You might noticed the time when the China and korean government banned the bitcoin. We found the bitcoin price dumped and it takes around 1 or 2 months recover from that issue. Please wait around 8 to 10 years to find the expected price and almost all the people will accept bitcoin legally to purchase the products.

To be honest, I think we don't even need legal status to operate with a growth as we have seen above 100,000% growth without it over the years so it's not that much difficult. However, any negative move/action from the governments can ruin the growth and reputation of it. Even, I was expecting the larger time span for this figure but since the things are changing rapidly, I think 6 figure milestone will be there soon as we have actually started using Bitcoins for other than speculation activities.

Nothing is impossible when it comes to bitcoin, price could go down or up depending on the adaptability of the people. If people could see it as an investment for long term, $500k by 2020 is possible. One of the purpose of bitcoin is having a savings account or wallet without even going personally to the bank - If only bitcoin's technology and main purpose is being advertised and not the negativity and scam accusations being spread all over the news, bitcoin will rise to the moon by 2020. But, of course, there will always be negative news regarding bitcoin and it is all part of the market's cycle.

It really is hard to say since bitcoin is very volatile, we can really say bitcoin can pump to $500k by 2020, tho we can also say that by 2020,  bitcoin will lose it's popularity by the means of a new coin that has more potential than bitcoin. it's only about speculations that can manipulate people.

I think that before a x50 in BTC price we will see x100-x1000 in a lot of alts. So I tend to prefer alts on a relative basis. The further you get into bitcoin the more you see that a lot of alternative blockchains are more fast, cheap and scalable.

With bitcoin, anything is possible. Looking at the current value, I personally think that bitcoin has the potential of reaching that value or even more, but probably within a period of five years or more. Reaching $500k within three years is a bit too little time, I personally think that your speculations might happen within a period of five years or even more. We are all aware that the market is so vlolatile but since the beginning of this year, the value of bitcoin has been increasing significantly, and this further proved that it has the potential of reaching that value.

Wow thats big number on my screen guys. My laptop can't hold that much price and I think that the blockchain will not either. ;-) Well, the bitcoin is being now thought as way beyond the current market capitalism. What I think is very simple, we should just focus on the bitcoin prices upto 20K by next year and expect some good use of it as currency in real world. Once that development is achieved we can really go for the next and in the process we will earn many investors to invest the money over bitcoin or blockchain. Thus, it will give the bitcoin more market cap and we will achieve targets like 20K or 50K real soon.

The 500,000 is like whole lot of money to be digested in the first place and I'm not so fond of it at this movement. The speculation should also be done wisely.
