I was thinking about using coinbase to sell bitcoins, and I was wondering if some has used it or is using it and could tell me if it works? I am skeptical about linking my bank account to it so I wanted to make sure its safe and they actually send you money when you make a sale. Thanks!

Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

Ive been using it for about 6 months. Works great, selling is very quick. Money arrives in my account usually within 3 days.

I've done a few transactions, no problems at all.   Only gripe is it takes about 4 days or so, and their prices lag behind the exchanges quite a bit.   They have an API though, I set up an alert for when their buy or sell hits what I want.

So you don't get the money that it states on the site?

Very well if you don't need the coins instantly.

I have used Coinbase twice to buy BTC. No problems.

For every user you invite to Coinbase who completes a purchase of 1 BTC or more, we'll send you both 0.01 BTC!

Check my sig.

I never coinbase, but im sure the Internet market will sustain at least 3 coin systems in the future.

Its just naive to think Bitcoin is the only system that is going to work, even in the mobile landscape its assumed that there will be at least 3 major players.

So far its seems Litecoin seems to be number two, so someone will take number three spot eventually.

I think the other currencies should improve on the Bitcoin, not just be a simple clone. We see some of the problems Bitcoin has, and other alternatives should provide exactly that, an alternative, otherwise they will just hit the same problems.
