Have a nice day! Today I want to bring to your attention an article on the use of alternative energy from wind generators in everyday life and statistics on the further growth of this industry.
The use of wind energy is one of the promising areas of modern energy. In recent years, there has been a massive increase in the size and quantity of wind parks in all the progressive countries of the world. "Winds" are higher, and their blades are longer and lighter, which allows them to work even with a small wind force. The facilities are installed everywhere: in forests, fields, on the coasts, in the coastal waters of the seas and oceans (offshore parks). Even in densely populated metropolises architects manage to introduce wind generators in the design of skyscrapers, transferring them to partial self-sufficiency.
To coordinate efforts and quickly respond to changes in the demands of the wind energy market, the international non-profit organization WWEA (World Wind Energy Association), headquartered in Germany, was established. Today, the association unites the interests of more than hundreds of participating countries. The task of WWEA is to continuously monitor the needs and proposals for renewable energy, conduct research and provide advice to the interested community.
The Association monitors the development of the wind power industry in all countries and compiles a rating of leading consumers and suppliers of relevant equipment. According to the information published on the website, the leaders in the use of alternative energy are the following ten countries.
China. The total power generation in China's wind farms at the end of 2015 approached 150 GW. At the same time, the country is a relatively new player in the wind power market. But the growth rate of the industry dictates its conditions, therefore, in the coming years it is planned to further build up the country's wind power potential. The amount of wind energy consumption declared by the country is 200 GW by 2020, however, judging by the annual growth of 25-28%, this period will come sooner.
USA. The development of alternative energy, including wind power, in the United States is a constant, planned process. By early 2016, the total capacity of American wind farms was estimated at 74.35 GW. Due to the rather strict regulatory policy pursued by the authorities in the energy area, there is no pronounced boom in the construction of "windmills", but the country continues to confidently hold the second place.
Germany is a traditional leader in the production of wind turbines. All the most innovative equipment in this industry is produced here. The total capacity of Germany's own wind farms - currently 45.2 GW, which is about a third of the total capacity of wind parks in the whole of the European Union. The increase in the share of energy generated by "windmills" in the country in 2015 amounted to almost 10%.
Spain occupies the 4th place in the ranking of countries with the most developed wind energy. In the conditions of the oppressed state of the economy and the shortage of natural resources, alternative types of energy are a strategic direction of the country's development. The total capacity of the country's wind farms is about 23 GW. According to WWEA data for the year 2015, there was no significant increase in the share of energy produced by "windmills" in the country.
India, which is experiencing rapid industrial growth, will simultaneously experience an acute shortage of energy resources. The severe shortage of traditional sources has largely shaped the state's views on alternative forms of energy production. Today, Indian wind farms are on the 5th place in the world in terms of total capacity with an indicator approaching 25 GW. In 2015, the increase in the share of wind energy in the country was about 10%.
The development of wind power in such EU countries as the UK, Italy, France is associated, first of all, with the gradual abandonment of the use of atomic energy. The countries are not only engaged in the active construction of wind farms, but also are the leading developers and manufacturers of turbine equipment, along with Germany. As of the end of 2015, the capacity of wind farms is: Britain - 13.6 GW, France - 10.3 GW, Italy - 8.95 GW.
The Canadian authorities promote the introduction of alternative energy sources through the provision of incentives for the installation and upgrading of relevant equipment. One of the most advanced in this respect is the states of Ontario and Nova Scotia. To date, the total capacity of Canada's wind farms is 11.2 GW, and the capacity increase compared to 2014 was 15.6%.
In Brazil, wind parks have been an integral part of the energy system for several years, along with solar stations. Electricity is purchased by the state through open auctions, the results of which confirm the competitiveness of the energy generated by "windmills". The average cost per kilowatt-hour of electricity for a consumer in Brazil is about 0.05 dollars. During 2015, the country showed an absolute world record for the growth of wind power capacity, which amounted to 46.2%! Today, the total capacity of Brazil's wind farms is 8.7 GW.
Denmark. Due to its small size, the country can not compete with the total amount of energy produced by "windmills" with such giants as China and the United States. The total capacity of the wind farms in Denmark is 5 GW, so the top ten rating is not included. However, when calculating the number of kilowatts of wind energy per capita, Denmark is an undoubted world leader. Today, the share of wind power in the country's overall energy "boiler" is approaching 30%, and by 2020 it is planned to increase this figure to 50%. Also, the authorities announced a program, according to which by 2050 the country will abandon the use of traditional energy resources completely.
So this industry is young and promising and we expect in the future only the growth of supply. Therefore, in our activities, we focused our attention specifically on such innovative developments in order to keep pace with the times. You can view our offer at the following link:
