Hi,

I had purchased around $50 worth Etherium few months back.Now the Etherium price is very high.
I could make a profit of around $15... Is this the best time to sell.

Will long term investment be fruitful ?

wow you got it at 50$ that's huge profit now with nearly 1000% return.
It's nice to take some profit and hold remain because ETH still very big room to rise more.
Let's say 1000$ next year maybe

He didn't get ETH at $50 per. He just bought $50 worth of ETH. It has risen by 30% since he made his purchase of $50 worth of ETH -- now valued at $65.

That being said -- He should just hang on to the ETH. $15 is a pretty minimal profit and ETH will certainly keep rising for some time.

What does $15 even buy? A salad at Applebees? Just HODL.

In long term, I think it's good just keep waiting for it to reach $500, I'm still sure and believe it will reach up to $500. So yeah.. the right decision to sell it, when the price is up to be at $500, and obviously it's much more profitable, good luck buddy.

I still dont think this is a good time to sell ethereum, because eth is being pumped countinously by big whales, it is rising due to the effect of bitcoin rising, so i will only sell eth as soon as bitcoin drop quickly below 9000$.

You are funby. Ethereum is down againts bitcoin now. If you compare to dollar it is up but not to bitcoin. Dont sell it now. Latter after the big hard fork and transition to proof of stake if this happen the ethereum price will spike. I still believe it can reach $1000. the right time to sell eth is when eth has touched $ 500 or more, it's a good decision because of huge profits and you can switch to buying a cheap altcoin and sell it at a high price later on.

I wouldn't blame anyone for taking profit here. We broke out of a trading range, and now that momentum has stalled, it would make sense to have a correction and test support. I think a test of the $400 area is very possible.

However, if the $400 level holds and the price recovers, we have officially left the trading range we spent the last 6 months in. In that case, I expect considerable upside. Conservative targets in the $900 area, liberal targets in the $1200s.

I'm holding and looking to buy a dip with my fiat reserves.

Although long term investments are risky and are kind of shaky right now especially with Bitcoin skyrocketing its price, it is more profitable though. I also have a couple of Ethereum stored in an offline wallet and decided to just hold them instead of selling them.

you basically have two options here. You can as already mentioned sell you ETH and make a profit, that profit will not be a short-term invesment. What the problem is with that option, is that you could potentially make so much more money just by holding your ETH and selling in a couple of years. Your profit right now is 15 dollars as you have mentioned, but what if that profit will be 500 in five years? Would you be willing to sacrifice that short-term profit for a bigger profit in the future? This is the main thing you have to ask yourself when investing, do you want to make short-term profits and become a trader, or do you want to be a value investor and invest in the long-term which will make you much more profits (you might make more profits by trading, but that will become then "your job" so to say).

Yes, Ethereum is over $480 now. And if you sell now, you can get big profit. However, if you can wait until it rise up to $1000, you can earn more money

I think the price of Ethernet is going to go up, because the price of bitcoin is going up and the price of Ethernet is going up.

What will you do with $15 profit? Buy a burger and ice cream? I think it's best to forget about that Ethereum totally and come back after at least 5 years. You either have good amount of money or nothing in your hand. $50 investment is nothing, people have thousands of ETH here.

Eth/USD parity is reached top high now. But Eth/BTC top high is  0.15 . If ether wanna try the btc-based top high it shall reach 1600 USD for todays btc price. It takes some time i think

It's not the right time yet to sell. Only sell when you have loads of Ethereum. But it's recommandable to hold. As large companies see the potential of Ethereum and want to make use of it, the price will rise even further. It's a matter of time, with the growing demand Etereum will be more profitable next year.
