There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

While reviewing payments, I noticed they didn't seem to be calculating properly. Upon further investigation I realized PPLNS was still set to 250,000 in the reward crediting script.

Sorry for that, it's now been reduce to 25,000 shares and should get everyone to share reasonably quick now.

Quite a few blocks didn't auto pay. These have been manually credited with no donations held out. I will continue to monitor this pool and periodically process credits should more fail to be property counted.

Credited each active user with 15 WDC for not giving me a hard time  Tongue

Manual payments have now been enabled for the Worldcoin pool!

We have also resolved an issue where some blocks were not properly being credited to users which required manual intervention.

There's also a few small changes to the Pool Stats and Block Stats pages.

A big thanks to everyone for keeping the hash rate up on this pool as it greatly helped me to ensure everything is working properly. All of the changes will be pushed to the other pools shortly.

For those who have been waiting, here's a good explanation of UNOCS:

Our worldcoin pool is now fully operational again. I've been unable to determine what exactly happened, but after re-compiling the daemon and downloading the block chain, we are finding valid blocks again.

Sorry for the delay in getting this back online but I wanted to make sure it was working properly.

I am aware of the issue and am working to get everything squared away.

So far the database has been migrated to our new 4 node cluster and we are working to process the remaining 8 million shares submitted to the pool after our processing scripts hung. This is a rather slow process and will likely take a few more hours before it's complete and we can start processing the payments for those blocks.

The stratum servers are still online and processing shares correctly.

Well not that i dont like the pool, but the thing on the front page "Constant updates by dedicated staff"

Took more then 6 hours from the script startet hanging, to any notice on the site came up.
And to find it, you had to browse into poolstats for any info. Nothing about it on the front page under "Announcements and updates"

Seems like the pool is a one guy operation.

Seems to have been down for hours on the website side. The stratum server was down with MySQL errors for a while too, though it seems to be back up now. With no way to see if the work is counting for anything it's like flying blind.

There were problems late yesterday (EST) with the block statistics page showing weird errors (e.g. 1.8E-5) in the earnings field, and some blocks showing no earnings at all. I opened a ticket 14 hours ago but no response. Nothing on the home page or Twitter either.

Has anyone heard from the pool operator?

This is becoming a joke, or the site is getting DDoS because other sites are afraid to lose their high rollers.

Two days and counting with no reply to a ticket about 19 blocks of missed / blank earnings. Now I see at least one block with the same problem again tonight, and another that appears in the graph of "Last 20 Blocks Found" (857631) but isn't in the list of blocks found and has no earnings credited.

Has anyone been able to get some form of contact from the operator in recent days? Should it be considered a dead and/or usupported pool?

I've gotten replies before after opening a ticket on the support portal so it's certainly strange that you haven't heard anything.

Same here. I did not get any responses. I already switched to another pool. To much trouble and I do not have the time to check every hour if it's still running.

Have to mention that this used to be one of the best pools.

Have to agree, it was a good pool, and gives a higher payout then others.

But whats the point if it crashes all the time, and you cant be sure if it will run overnight.

I have woken up several times, to see that it had gotten disconnected during the night.
