Hello guys, I'm living in Spain. Maybe someone from hotter places can help out.

I'm planning on setting up 25 ASIC Antminer S9's and there's a huge issue with temperatures in the summer as they reach 40ºC.

From what I've read, it's best to maintain S9's between 54ºC and 65ºC (or below), with the maximum of 70ºC. Can someone confirm?

Does having a normal air conditioner with air pipes connected directly to S9's air inputs is enough? What can be done to maintain those temperatures?

Thank you a lot! This community is amazing.

Suck the exhaust out, that's rule #1.   Keep pumping in cooler air to the room to keep temperatures down, a normal air conditioner will be keep 25 antminer's cool, no way, no how.

To add to what rifleman says - if you're using AC, you're already making a mistake and destroying your profitability.

You should look into hot aisle/cold aisle design.

You have an intake where cooler air (from outside, not AC'd) comes in and feeds the intake of the S9s. You have another aisle on the other side which sucks out the hot air coming from them, likely some kind of high CFM fan setup,

This way you're bringing in cooler air on one side, and getting rid of the hot air coming out of them.

Thank you. I see.

Do you think 40ºC circulating air in and out of them is enough to keep them cool?

As long as they're running lower than 100C, you should be fine.

If you are in a dry enough area, look into evaporative cooling.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!
