I already pointed this out in their telegram channel so many times.

1. Entire team only has telegram profiles
2. CEO has no credentials
3. Not a single roadmap goal met (all overdue)
4. No announcements about missed deadlines and no proposed plan for improvement
5. Immature domain age, which means the project did not go through extensive planning and research (if they're already listing their token)
6. Free cloudflare ssl (commonly seen on cheap scams lol)

Anyway. What now? Could we track down and take action on the scammer? I think so
I have saved their website onto waybackmachine a couple days ago
http://web.archive.org/web/20180121132316/https://monero-gold.org/

From the archive, we can find a couple things

Airdrop form:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScL_LdYS2hSXm_X2Y_2jsDzxBNm146VUp1UCn3TNay1Mz1SWg/viewform

This is a google form, so Google has user data such as IP, browser fingerprint, device, network. This can be used to track down the scammer

Twitter Link:
https://twitter.com/monerogoldtoken

The scammer's twitter account has a location on it. This might be fake, or real, we won't know... but the IP address obtained can help confirm
https://i.imgur.com/Ssxunwj.png

Hopefully CoinExchange.io is able to confirm the google account that was used to access their support portal for submitting tokens. As well as the IP address and browser fingerprint too.

Other sources like domain register and web host can help identify the scammer and shut them down.

After that, everyone should block transfers from the scammer's eth address, this way scammer will have no profit.

That being said, the damage is already done, so say goodbye to your money lost.

You HAVE to research the project before you invest in it.
Learn, and move on

Might as well read up on my simple guide to avoid (most) scamcoins https://www.shauncheon.com/2017/08/how-to-detect-scamcoin-how-to-detect.html

What makes you think dev will respond, have you visited the monero gold website?  If not, you might want to check that out, this guy probably won't be coming back.

With all the good projects in crypto it's sad that people will choose to invest their money in something like this as opposed to a highly visible project.

If you've been effected, collect all the evidence you can against the people behind it and report what you can.

With all due respect, you should stop taking crack and take the informations we are giving here seriously unless you're part of this son of a bitch team. Now, make the calculation of the fortune that left you this team of son of a bitch. the total of your XMRG multiplied by 2 satoshi.
Happy?
Also, the thing to do if you really want to continue in the cryptos, is not to go through coinechange that endorses this kind of scam by doing their promotions on their shitty site.
They knew several hours before what was happening and they did not do anything.
In fact we give you here 2 tips, mourn the loss of trading platform if you do not want to live this kind of situation in the future.

Monero Gold (XMRG) Statement
On the 4th of February 2018 we halted both the Monero Gold markets on CoinExchange.io:
https://www.coinexchange.io/market/XMRG/BTC
https://www.coinexchange.io/market/XMRG/ETH
We halted these markets immediately after we became aware that a large number of coins had been created and transferred to the deposit address of a CoinExchange.io user.
A percentage of these coins were dumped onto both markets on CoinExchange.io.
Upon further investigation we regret to inform the community that it appears that the developers are responsible for this fraudulent activity. We have come to this conclusion because of the following points:
1 — The XMRG token was created by the following Ethereum address: https://etherscan.io/address/0x70c17961abaaa470a2629825de50475fe4d8ab9d
2 — The XMRG token creation (by the address above) txid: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xbda1e865fcaa7ee5bb709f6b829cc9532a8062b1ebc9b50af8c8491476b1a075
3 — The same address was also resposible for the recent creation of a very large number of tokens, please see the following transaction: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xd1955ccec2f0e7a9a86c8dd4b9161265b0348fb3c7436a98e107c68e381c76ac
Accordingly, we have decided that the remaining bitcoin in the Monero Gold developers CoinExchange.io account will be used as a buy wall to offer holders of the now defunct Monero Gold token some small compensation.
In addition to the bitcoin remaining in the Monero Gold developers account we have also added all fees, including the listing fee of 2 BTC, to the buy wall amount.
The total amount in the buy wall will be:
22.418 BTC — Remaining BTC in Monero Gold developers account
2 BTC — Listing fee
1.475 — Total trades fees to date including BTC and ETH markets
 — — — — — —
Total 25.893 rounded up to 26 BTC
We will place a buy wall of 26 BTC at 0.00000002 BTC until the market and XMRG are delisted at a later stage (to be announced).
In the process of writing this release we have become aware that the Monero Gold website has been replaced with a Pepe meme. This further confirms that this was a premeditated scam perpetrated by the Monero Gold developers of which CoinExchange.io was also a victim.

Screenshot from monero-gold.org Website
While we believe there was no negligence on our behalf we will now increase our efforts in all areas of security and customer protection.

Coinxenchage knew what was going on and here are their answers to prove their understandings.
You have for example 100000 xmrg, you will get back 200000 sat.

Forget about xmrg shit and move to a serious trading platform like finance, bitrex... and good luck ans sorry for you.

Thank you for this important information. From here I know that this project is really a scam. Many have previously said that this project is a scam, but it seems the team is trying to protect the project by distributing 500 XMRG to each participant of the 2nd airdrop round. But by reading this information, I am more and more convinced that my suspicions are true.

You don't need to thanks me, we are in the same boat with this crypto world and as a human being I only want good for others and I do not want to see others fallen where I fell.
I lived the same expercience with C47 and neogold, same shit, same scam.
Since I am not using coinexchange I am doing good with crypto.
We have enough very good crypto to deal with and good trading platform like bitrex, binance.

You just have to read the messages in coinexchange troll box and you will all realize that is just a scam platform, they allowed scammers to pump and dump them shit during all the day.

They allowed also sons of bitches like xmrg dev to sell them shit.
If someone want to create a scam and sell it, coinxechange will deal with you because they don't give a shit about them reputation and them customers.

forget about buying shitty coins guys, and forget also coinxchange and you will do good.

maybe you need to cool down, CE has already made an statement and they had took action against dev very fast and blocked their earnings, better to read their statement:

https://medium.com/@support_51806/monero-gold-xmrg-statement-de163e73c610

they are a company and its normal that companies focus on their earnings more than anything else, they had made a mistake for xmrg, and they are trying to make it right, even though it may not recover many investments, but still can be a drop from faucet.

what i know coin exchange also victim like us.i agree there are alot of shit coin but for me coinexchange.io is one of the best market where i can trade, their support was active and respond very fast, i can even cancel order or do withdrawal when sites still maintenance. i can not find other exchange which lets user withdraw their money when sites still maintenance, even bigger market like bittrex or poloniex will not let user withdraw their asset when website in maintenance.
