Best way to start on Bitcoin ?

I started by offering services and receiving Bitcoin in return. I then bought items & sold items for profit with Bitcoin. Now, I'm investing in a idea of mine that will hopefully bring in a lot of income. From both Bitcoin and fiat money. Of course I'll be converting most of the fiat money into Bitcoin.

My advice to start on Bitcoin would be don't go crazy buying mining equipment. I would recommend offering you're services or looking for a job which pays in Bitcoin. For example contact different companies which sell their product/service for Bitcoin. Then email them with a application telling them you're skills and other credentials. You'll be surprised what you could get. I personally have been looking for a customer service job because I'm familiar with Bitcoin. This is just to land a few extra Bitcoin when I can.

Depends on how much you are willing to invest.. You could give faucets a shot for free (but very few) bitcoins. You could buy Bitcoins for daytrading or purchasing products, or - if you are willing to take the risk - you could invest in rigs to mine yourself.

After you get some don't lend them to anyone.  Do a lot of research before spending any.
