Initial Coin Offering has become the mainstream way of raising money for a crypto project. It is an event in which a new cryptocurrency project is introduced. Early adopters and enthusiasts are allowed to invest money into the project in exchange for some of the cryptocurrency tokens. The invested money can be used by the project to cover early expenses like developing the product, marketing, legal, etc. ICOs are highly attractive for investors because the potential reward can be multiple times higher as the token’s price increases during the ICO. ICOs have the ability to deliver quick returns. On the other hand, this is a dangerous game. A quick profit can turn into a big loss. There is no guarantee of success. Best advice for investing is: never invest money you can’t afford to lose.

It is a crowd fund raising for an upcoming project of an ICO company. You will get their coin/token at a cheaper price during this period.

ICO is a capital mobilization program. Helping them to do a business, they will distribute tokens worldwide and buyers who hold tokens await the sale for a higher price.

ICO is basically an initial coin offering, and its goal is to collect money to create a product that is in its early stages. many of these companies create their own tokens to be listed on exchanges, to become alt-coins Smiley

ICO stands for “Initial Coin Offering”.  In a nutshell, ICO is a process to raise fund for a specific project in terms of cryptocurrency, such as Ethereum or Bitcoin, in return for its tokens that can be used in its specific services or applications.

It means to collect the money easily. Tongue
It may be a good system for groups where financing is difficult.
But there are also many ICOs of scam.
It is fun sifting expectations of  scam and profit.

Initial Coin Offering (ICO) is a form of crowd-sourced fundraising that uses cryptocurrencies. Also known as digital currencies, or virtual currencies, cryptocurrencies work as a medium of exchange using encryption to secure transactions and for creating (known as mining) additional units.

ICO is a form of investment, an Initial coin offering.

ICO is a cryptocurrency crowdfunding, which collecting money for a project.

There are also many similarities between the IPO (initial public offering) and ICO. The main task of the initiators of crypto-currency crowdsfunding is to sell as many tokens as possible or sell enough coins to develop the project. Their real value remains uncertain until the project is released to the exchange.

In the future, investors will be able to use the tokens to obtain the services or goods provided by the ICO. Either even get dividends or sell tokens if the project goes to the stock exchange and further increases in value.
