A few quick reasons:

1) Historically (when compared to Europe and Asia) it has been undamaged by war. It has also helped those continents rebuild. Which has also allowed its companies to set a foothold in these markets, which leads me to my next point.

2) It's home to some of the world's biggest companies. Finance, technology, energy. The majority of the world's giants are in the US.

3) It's home to some of the world's most innovative companies. Ie: Nvidia. Google.

4) It has an abundance of resources

5) It has a large, healthy, educated population that reproduces

The United States of America is a very economically strong country. She will be a leader in many fields of science, technology and military equipment for many years to come.
