They're not hiding. They are clearly visible there, they always have been. It's a public discord server, they even have or had a telegram channel. CMC takes time to update. New exchanges don't get listed there for at least 3 to 6 months.
They also have public updates in their website, which also hosts their explorer (that has been forked by over 140 other projects), as well as Medium articles.
Some people just aren't on bitcointalk. Like some people actually don't have facebook accounts.

honestly this coin was on a good path and I am hoping they still are.

and a bear market with these good old techie nerd devs who only care about such "tech" yet not making ANY profits or trading reasons for the coin are killer for a coin and it's price.
