I still see over 500 masternodes on the old protocol. How come they weren't kicked out?

The spork can take some time to propagate over the network. A few hours after it was started, I still had some old peers too. After I closed my wallet last night and opened it again this morning, I don't have any more old peers on my list at all. The number of nodes reported on places like the explorer dropped by about half, down to 678 at the time of writing.

Hi. Why my masternode is mising all time(i start it couple times)? Can somebody paste all lines of bulwark.conf?

For the vps wallet

rpcuser=
rpcpassword=
port=52543
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
externalip=
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
promode=1
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=

Fill in the missing values like IP and masternodeprivkey. You also need rpcuser and passwords to not be empty

The local, controller wallet only needs rpcuser and rpcpassword

If you are having trouble starting the masternode try
startmasternode "all" 0
from the controller wallet, after you unlock it with passphrase
If it can't start, make sure the masternode input is not locked by the wallet, that happens sometimes.
Enable coin control, go to inputs (in send) and unlock the 5000 bwk. Then start the masternode again

Did you update to v1.3? If not, then that's why and you'll have to update.

The instructions for updating your masternode can be found at https://github.com/bulwark-crypto/Bulwark-MN-Install

Specifically this portion:

Updating Node
To update your node please run this command and follow the instructions. Please note that this script must be run as root.

bash <( curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bulwark-crypto/Bulwark-MN-Install/master/update_node.sh )

Are you serious? Nothing left in your wallet, really?
Have you set up paraphrase for your wallet?
have you tried reinstalling your wallet with backup file?

Try them first, then ask again if you can not fix.

New website and wallet design are nice, I like them both. Goes along with the upcoming change to POS.

Although price has been pretty stagnant and linked to overall market and bitcoin price, the team has been solid and consistent. Undervalued masternodes at this price.

Just wanted to provide a quick update to those that have noticed Cryptopia is in maintenance mode. Yesterday we had a slight issue with a couple pools that had not updated to v1.3 like they were supposed to and caused some minor chain splits once the spork was activated.

While this didn't directly endanger the network at all, we felt it would be best to lock things down and give those pools a heads up and wait until they updated considering their miners were unknowingly mining non-existent coins. The two situations were the pool making mining payments to miners also on pre-1.3 versions that can't send them anywhere anyways, or miners that updated to 1.3 not being able to receive their mining payments.

All offending pools have since updated, so that's already cleared up. Considering we're coming up on PoS in approximately two days and were wanting to put ourselves in maintenance for that anyways, we've decided we're just going to leave Bulwark in maintenance instead of taking it out and then having to put it back in tomorrow.

Thank you everybody for your patience. Once we've successfully crossed over into PoS and everything is looking good we'll contact the exchanges and open things back up.

Once you reach PoS, I'm interested in what the plans are over the next 12 months to expand the project.

Reason I ask, is that with PoW, you often get a steady stream of 'new' people getting involved, as they can earn coins through mining without feeling like they need to trade away from a different coin to be involved and get bulwark.

When you reach PoS, the only way for new people to get bulwark will be through trading for it, which generally means losing coins somewhere else. You'll also have heavy holders of bulwark getting even more bulwark, due to the nature of PoS, potentially reducing the 'spread' of new people with bulwark.

So plans after PoS over the next few months will be particularly important to expand bulwark Smiley

Nice work on the transition.  The update was clean, simple, and fast.  I look forward to a long span of network stability and the core improvements that are to follow.

I'm also interested in what is coming, I think the homenode was a great addition and especially now that we are switching to POS..but I tend to agree that POS coins seem to have a market that moves differently than POW coins in a good/bad way. Good for POS because maybe people are less likely to dump coins they mint, bad because like thehas said there is less exposure to new investors.

For POW good because more people find the coin, think about how many people mined BWK especially after getting on mining info sites like whattomine.com. But bad because most of these miners just mine then dump, just my opinion though, maybe some mine to accumulate a node...who knows.

I'm just interested in the future of BWK, team and community seem good for a low cap coin.
