Help claiming bitcoin cash

Hi there,

I recently opened a wallet.dat file using bitcoin core. It hadn't been opened since before 1 Aug 17.

Is it too late to claim my bitcoin cash? If not, I would be very grateful if someone could guide me through the process of claiming bitcoin cash.
