Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

It is not known what exactly happened. But no response by 30h suggests that, unfortunately, we lost our money

I suggest we all start sending editors story tips that Coingather has completely gone dark for more than 53 hours.  There is also a twitter account but it's quiet too!  At least if we can one of the cryptocurrency news sites to dig into what's happened then maybe we'll get some answers.

I did some research into them, they're based in Ohio in the US, so that explains why they're still down and haven't responded, it's been thanksgiving since Thursday (roughly when it went down) so they more than likely closed their offices for the weekend.

They've been around since 2012, so stop stressing they won't just shut down and run off with your money, they're a registered company in the US. You don't need to get crypto news sites to investigate, it's thanksgiving weekend, that's why.

Honestly, this is the first time I've heard Coingather.

There are no updates from their Twitter either, even if it's Thanksgiving in the states its unprofessional of them to not post news or update.
This could be just coincidences or they ran away Roll Eyes
We'll see in a few days.

Any links that stated that they are registered company in US?
I tried to do a few searches but no results.

Also, according to their topic they're open since 2014, just sayin Wink

They registered their domain in 2012, and their copyright was from 2013. CoinGather Ltd.
I saw their info on their domain registration but it's been made private now, probably due to a lot of people checking it. Their site has gone down before, don't stress people. I know it's unprofessional, and I assure you I also have a lot of money on there but we will get it back.

Additionally, the hosting IP is still pingable, which means the host is still there, it's just a problem with the web server, probably a resource utilization issue.

Although there's something fishy going on cause I managed to get a lot more information yesterday and now I can't find it anymore...

The thing is not that the site is down, but the problem and what is complicated is the fact that they have posted nothing in their social medias concerning their website not online. Let's hope for their return because a lot of people have invested in there.

thanksgiving wasnt valid reason for the clients to wait more than a day cycle. For me all the concersn shoukd file necessary complaints for this otherwise they will accept that the coingather has gone with the wind.the complaints are enough to justify thos problem and for the management to make a decision

It's actually been 4 days (as far as I know) and up until now their site is still inaccessible. You're right about that, Normally if a site will be inaccessible for a period or time they will make an announcement but coingather didn't make any of that. You can still submit a support ticket but no one replies and their social media accounts are dead. The fact that they're here for a long period of time doesn't really guarantee anything. It's understandable that people will find their actions suspicious.

By filing necessary complaints you mean doing a legal action? That will definitely cost you money but if you're good with that. It's better to consult someone first.

It is very unprofessional for the site to go down without any prior notice, even if there was sudden attack by a hacker or something,  then the first thing to do is to make the announcement on other social media channels so that people will know exactly what their fate is,  keeping quiet and leaving everyone in the dark is most unprofessional.

I've been trying off and on for about a week. It did seem to be up a couple of days ago (I think?) but now it's down again.

There's some discussion in the latter pages of the official thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=720274.0
