I'm a pretty damn good mechanic and kindof personally specialize in working on old, different, strange, peculiar, unique kinds of cars, motorcycles, and all sorts of machines..
Right now I professionally run and service oilfield machinery, because it pays..
Frankly I can work on anything because I am excellent at researching to figure out how to work on things I never have before and have an excellent natural understanding of machines..
Classic cars? Actually I am very familiar and geeky about old school German mechanical fuel injection, like k-jetronic stuff.. Carburetors? Child's play.. Custom turbocharger systems, oh yeah.. I build custom turbos in my bedroom.. Manual transmissions.. I can do a good bit of automotive electronics, especially older stuff.. points and condensor? I can do engines, I have and can use specialty low tolerance measuring equiptment.. I've done pushrod engines, sohc dohc, timing belts and chains.. I also weld, fabricate, more machine shop experience than your average joe.. I don't do bodywork and that artsy type shit..
What do you need worked on or advice on? Or are you looking for pre purchase inspections before you send our old cars over the ocean?
Let me know.. Really I can do pretty much anything if it's worth my time to figure it out and do it right.. Like, I've never touched a jet engine before but I have no doubt I could rebuild one given some research and the proper tools..
If your just talking old Chevy engines and the like, I own a carbureted 454, runs goood, just put a 400 smallblock in a pickup, just did a timing belt on a Honda v6 and a Subaru, rebuilt the variable valve timing on my BMW, Porsche head gasket, just a few of my recent works not to mention the immeasurable suspension, break, drivetrain, etc work I've done on countless cars.. Rebuild differentials..
I could go on for ages..
