Awesome project. It has potential  Grin
But it'll need a LOT of polish to survive in the cruel world of online games.
Good luck.

Final day of development...
  • Added OpenID support (As of posting, only google works. The rest will come within the hour)
  • Updated menus
  • Added new section

As I near the end of this project and prepare it for release, the only real question is when will you be able to play it and make some money, right? Well that's going to be within the next 24 hours if I have anything to say about it. ^_^

Isn't MyBitcoin currently scamming the crap out of people?

Buy a TREZOR! Premier BTC hardware wallet. If you're reading this, you should probably buy one if you don't already have one. You'll thank me later.

The new BITFU is now accepting deposits!

Game Features

  • MULTIPLAYER - BIT-FU is a multiplayer GAME, not a solo gambling game with a shady logic computer deciding when you win and lose. The only automation behind BIT-FU are the deposits and payouts. The rest is up to you and your opponents. Good luck! ^_^
  • EVOLVING LOGIC SYSTEM - Other games use a fixed, closed-source login system to determine winners. Mine is open-source to the public as a true statement of my intentions of total transparency with this game. Any flaws found by the community are fixed immediately; any interesting suggestions or recommendations are applied immediately; a new system is being developed to allow for users to vote on which physical moves should or should not have a higher damage count over another, making this a true community powered game.
  • EASY DEPOSIT/WITHDRAW - Deposits and withdrawals are instant. The only deposit/withdrawal limitation is that your deposit must be 0.001 BTC or more. If for any reason your deposits or withdrawals were erroneous, BITFU will take responsibility and sort through it to get your funds returned to you the same day.
  • OPENID - BIT-FU doesn't need anything more than an e-mail address and a new password to run smoothly, but at the request of members, I replaced the previous login/account creation system with an OpenID system that allows you to login using your existing OpenID, Google/Youtube, Facebook, Wordpress, Windows Live or Twitter accounts. This is done purely for your convenience.
  • FAIR FEES (FREE!) - In my book, the only fair fee is NO FEE, so that's why playing BIT-FU, depositing funds and withdrawing funds was, is and always will be-- FREE. The only funds that are taken are when a challenge is completed and there is a clear winner. The winner's reward is 190% of the total between the two players' bets; the remainder stays in the system purely for the purpose of repaying users if the internet were to somehow eat their deposits one day (god forbid). This will stay in place until I am hosting my own Bitcoin accepter and not MyBitCoin.
  • FUN - There are no spreadsheets with BIT-FU. BIT-FU does not require downloading a 3D game engine to run (it's written entirely in jQuery/PHP actually) and the entire goal was to be simple enough to be addictive, yet complicated enough to make it worth-while. I hope I succeeded in that goal.
  • COMMUNITY FRIENDLY - This game is ready to play- now! But that doesn't mean I'm done developing. The community for this game is an extremely important thing to me, and as the userbase develops, I will invest more and more time into adding features and making my ideas come to reality. To be honest, I've already got pages and pages of ideas that could bring me far past BIT-FU 5.0 right now, but since none are tested yet and I'm not exactly set up to host a 3D game server, I'll settle for what I have now. ^_^;;
  • REWARDING - Like poker, there is luck involved, but unlike poker, you decide which cards go in your hand. It is actually possible to never lose with BIT-FU, so long as every one of your opponents is doing the wrong things! Grin
  • MOBILE FRIENDLY (Coming soon) - Before anyone jumps down my throat, I'm not talking about the version you see when you visit the page. I'm talking about a DIFFERENT version that gets displayed when someone views it with their iPhone. I am currently working on a mobile-only web interface to the game so that people can take their fights to work with them.

Isn't MyBitcoin currently scamming the crap out of people?

Any quote/citation/news/forum threads/etc you'd like to mention, or was this just an anti-mybitcoin hit-and-run?  Huh

P.S. I've decided to stick with MyBitCoin and just work on my own confirmation system.

I'm not "anti-mybitcoin" per se, but I have read anecdotes where it is apparent they are scamming some people.

Here is an example thread:

I'm just tryin' to look out for ya'.

Didn't mean to bite your head off. Definitely appreciate anyone looking out for me and this project. Cheesy

The thing is though, after looking at that thread, all I see is a bunch of horse shit claims with no proof or explanations, and then a bunch of other retards chiming in to add 'their two cents', and finally, as typical with angry mobs, everyone agreeing that because of a reason they can no longer remember, someone deserves to get hanged!

Screw it. MyBitCoin is a dude who is doing it all for free. BIT-FU is not expected to reach 100BTC in holdings at any time now or in the future. I'm not worried. ^_^

That being said, if anyone wants to assist in setting up bitcoind, I'll totally use a dedicated instead. It's the direction I'm going with my new work anyway... might as well do it for BIT-FU first so I can have the motivation to finish  Grin

No harm, no foul.

I have just seen negative reviews of mybitcoin here (deserved or not), and merely wanted to make you aware of that.

Verified. I signed over the site files to "BO". I no longer own this game. It was a lot of fun to make and I hope everyone enjoyed it and continues to if it ever gets released again. I am no longer developing or promoting Bit-fu. I wish it only the best!
