Need Help - lost my Google Atuthenticator

i lost my Google-Authenticator (changed the Smartphone). So i cant send BTC.
Is it possible to deactivate this Google-Authenticator-check? Is there a way to do that without a restore with using the seed?

There is no option to deactivate 2FA without using seed,only thing you can do is to reset or deactivate your 2FA with seed.I do not know what version of Electrum you use,but in last stabile 2.9.3 you go to File - New/Restore - Standard Wallet -- I have a seed - and then enter your seed.After that you will see option to disable 2FA and then you can use your wallet normally.

If you lost your 2FA, you can use your seed to recover your 2-of-3 master private keys and be able to spend your coins without the 2FA code. If you don't have your seed anymore, your coins are most likely gone. That's why you:

a. Save your seed - like Electrum tells you to do.
b. Use a 2FA app that lets you backup your codes - like andOTP or Authenticator Plus - and not Google Authenticator.

Secret phrase is the seed. Contacting the Electrum Dev will only be a waste of time. They can't do anything to help you.

When you created your 2FA wallet, the big "Disclaimer" screen says that you need to save your seed to withdraw your funds at any time without needing the 2FA code. Without that, there is nothing you can do.

1) how often i can input a wrong passwort / google-authenticator-code ?
2) how can i get an email-address of electrum-company or a telephone-number - electrum is a german-company?

Probably as many times as you want.

I'm not sure why do you want that. As I said, there is nothing Electrum can do about your issue. And that's what anybody else from the dev team will say.

Good luck guessing the Google Authenticator Code... it is a 6 digit code that changes every 30 seconds.

I'm not sure if the numbers ever repeat, but you could probably just type the same 6 digit code every 30 seconds for 30,000,000 seconds and maybe you'll get lucky and hit the code! That's only about 348 days...


As the others have noted, without the seed and/or the Google Authenticator... your coins are stuck... the Electrum devs can't help you, TrustedCoin can't help you... NO-ONE can help you

what do you mean with 30 seconds?
1) at the Google-authenticator-app the code changes every ~10 seconds
2) while this 10 seconds i can try 2 times to guess the correct code at electrum
but the Chance is 1 to 1 Million - so to guess the code it seems it is impossible...

i will search my seed again and again. i think i save a file on my pc with a hidden Name which includes the seed-words.
but i dont know the Name of the file. so i will search and open all my .txt and .doc files on my pc - and i hope i will find my lost seed...

If you have your 2FA secret code or QR used to setup your 2FA in the Google Authenticator app, then just manually import them.

If not, you will need to disable 2FA in each of your accounts and enable them again but with andOTP.
