I’m new to the crypto world,  but want to use today’s price drops to buy some alt coins at a good price. Any thoughts on Sia or Ardor? Is there something else that I should snatch up while the prices are low? Thanks

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Take Sia, for ardor I don't know much... Or if you don't know what to take, go on their website, and learn about them projects, ask developers questions, etc.. what you think is better, take it... It's worth to find out by yourself too...

I only know Sia. In my opinion a currently undervalued coin. Has a really good team behind it.
Sia has also been around for 3 years, which is a long time for a coin. Don't know anything about Ardor.

Thanks. I have researched both and they seem sound to me, but I appreciate your input since I’m so new to this, things may slip past my “sniff test”.
I’ve learned a lot from this forum, so thank you all!

I think that it is worth paying attention to these coins. But, there are also many other interesting coins.

Sia is shitcoin now. There are much better solutions like filecoin for example. No good future for sia, forget it.
But ardor can be huge, one of the best blockchain now. Definetly good investment.
