The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

all exchange exchanges are good, it's just that I prefer if the coins / tokens are in the CRYPTOPIA, HITBTC, and COIN EXCANG exchanges because the feen is low and no coins are left from sales like etherdelta.

Poloniex is the best exchange i know.
I used to trade on bittrex, but i've heard multiple reports that they are freezing accounts for "verification purposes" but never unfreezes even after verification.

I would prefer to enter in exchange crytopia because cryptopia has various features that can simplify the exchange process.
and if you really want to buy SOTRM I suggest not to all of your bitcoin assets exchanged .. it is to keep in case of failure in the STORM project.

Bitfinex is a popular exchange because in terms of USD trading volume it has the most liquidity. It currently owns about a 10% share of the USD trading market.

Because of its confusing interface, it's probably only a good choice for traders who really know what they are doing.

Buddy, you can try shapeshift and cryptopia. I always use these sites and I haven't faced any issues till this day. Infact today also I used cryptopia for exchanging my bitcoin cash to btc and withdrew my bitcoin directly to my wallet without any problems. Fees is little bit high for withdrawing btc, but other than that everything is ok. You can try these sites without any worries.

If you want to direct convert it to  ETH  without registering in the website better try shapeshift.io
if you want  a reputable exchange then try bittrex or poloneix .

There are a lot of suggestions. I use poloniex, bittrex regularly but have used numerous exchanges without issue.

But the main things are liquidity - how fast the transaction takes place and the legitimacy of the trading platform.  Open accounts in different exchanges. You need to become comfortable with what's out there.
