Just a hint, this kernel is for SDK 2.6+, it doesn't work well with earlier versions / runtimes!

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Yes I know, I tried the one from sdk 2.6 and also those that ship with the newest (leaked) drivers, and I tried them all to find which one is best but it didn't make a difference.

Update: just updated to phoenix 1.7.5

pahtk and phatk2 perform at about 416 mhash/s
 -k phatk(2) DEVICE=0 VECTORS AGGRESSION=16 WORKSIZE=64 FASTLOOP=false

your build 2011-12-21 performs at 418 mhash/s
 -k phatk DEVICE=0 VECTORS2 AGGRESSION=16 WORKSIZE=64 FASTLOOP=false

your build from 2012-01-13 at 417 mhash/s
 -k phatk DEVICE=0 VECTORS2 AGGRESSION=14 WORKSIZE=64 FASTLOOP=false

If I put aggression higher then the statistics like mhash/s won't appear or they disappear and come back every few seconds.
also it states that the miner is idle sometimes.

so for now ill stick with:
your build 2011-12-21 and -k phatk DEVICE=0 VECTORS2 AGGRESSION=16 WORKSIZE=64 FASTLOOP=false

Using these drivers: AMD Cat 8.95 ( January 17th)  http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=357581
with an AMD 6950 (unlocked to a 6970 and running at 930/1430)
