It is true that every time bitcoin is rising many investors from altcoins change their interest to bitcoin.We cannot jugdge them since that is how business is working. It is always on the side of getting profit and securing themselves from falling. But it does not mean that because bitcoin is rising altcoins will bust. We can not say that generally because not all of altcoins is experiencing the same thing, like for example the ethereum, even bitcoin is pumping up ehtereum is also doing the same thing. So the answer to your question is it depends upon how the altcoins rides with bitcoin to get the same result.

Well, on my own opinion it will depends if the altcoin is very demand to the society which will relying also to the ICO campaign. Also, many investors will support on that altcoins which they must prefer on that time since the product or the kind of business of the ICO will have their own thoughts might be have a good return. Thus, every crypto currency is unpredictable and not all altcoins relying on bitcoin but most of the it relying on bitcoin due to the value of bitcoin is much more high compare to other crypto.

It depend in the altcoin we are talking about, not all altcoins rise or go down when BTC raised his value, sure most of the altcoin could go off but there are other like etherium, dash litecoin etc how could survive and replaced if the case demand as the new BTC in matters of value.

I think all other coins with bust but not Ether since there are many Smart contracts running over that coin. |

Bitcoin being the mother of all cryptocurrencies, and having altcoins as her sons and daughters, what do you think will a child do, if their mother suddenly disappears, they will follow them, right? I think if the bubble, pops, it will be the same in altcoins, they will be dumping hard and will be gone.

we only know that if bitcoin price increases, altcoin price will down. and if bitcoin price is down, altcoin price will increase. but in another time, we can see that if bitcoin increases, some of the altcoin is increased too. if we are saying that bitcoin is bubble then altcoin is a bubble too. we have seen this before and I think this is happening over and over without stop and we don't have to be panic.

IMO It depends on the reason behind the bubble pops, if it is because of vulnerability in blockchain technology or the global legal issue with it, then there is a huge percentage that all other blockchain currency will become worthless, but maybe privacy focused currency can survive. If the bubble pops was due to the Bitcoin market manipulation, then it is probably safe for the other currencies out there. But people tends to FOMO, so it is really hard to predict the future.

I'm afraid if BITCOIN the bubble bursts, it will take all the other currencies with it to the grave only due to the fact that people who lose money will stop hoping for the best and neglect the risk and start reinsuring. Nevertheless, the very technology of blockchain will be super successful

Nothing goes to zero, but lets be honest the majority of ppl here are get rich quick traders and once the 'easy money' gravy days of btc are over they will move along, how low will it go? Will it go to zero? Probably not, say 50% of the bTC out there came for free, so why sell for those folks? Lot's of the day trader' just came in during the last few years, thus btc could retrench to the $1000 low days, or $500, The +2000 other shit-coins, most likely 99% will go away, and only leave the strong, those with a good team and a good story, good code, and a good argument for existence, Right now is just like 1999 dot-com bust, +90% will be gone in a year BTC has too many problems to continue, but it can remain as a bank of the rich, where transaction are minimal and expensive, Easy money days are over, move along day traders find a new host to parasite. |

Exactly, not all altcoins will depends on the value of bitcoin which means id the product of that altcoin is very demand in the society well ,for sure no need to rely on bitcoin since that altcoins is independent to gaining its value. Also, bitcoin is unpredictable as well as the different altcoins that most of them just rely on bitcoin value. Honestly, I didn't believed thay bitcoin is a bubble that can burst anytime as the performance of bitcoin already proven many years ago and the altcoins just followed on previous years. Hopefully all crypto currencies will increase their value since many users and investors want it to gain profit in the future. |

Absolutely correct, not all altcoins relying on the bitcoin but I'm sure most of it relying on bitcoin. As far as I know that base on my research from the historical data of bitcoins and blockchain technology ,it shows that the value of bitcoins keeps on increasing every year since its inception, there will be dip for some time like in normal share market and I believe also that altcoins will give tremendous performance on this year as I noticed have a great products on their every ICO project. |

Just look this way, every coins and tokens represents products and services and even company just like flat currency represents there states. The fall down of one country doesnt necesarilly mean that others will fall to, it might affect but two things may happen, another country/altcoin will rise or all country/altcoin will rise because investors will find another investment.

I think this has been proven by a few altcoin that has no effect on Bitcoin bubble. But the opposite like Ethereum, DASH, Monero and QTUM is on the top.

It seems that some coins are connected each other. Check the price charts of Litecoin and Bitcoin and you will see it for yourself.
Bitcoin is the father of all cryptos and the first coin issued. If you ask someone if he knows what digital money is, he will answer Bitcoin.
If Bitcoin's bubble pops, it will definitely affect the other alts price, but cryptocurrencies won't disappear.

I think alternative cryptocurrencies will be ok, they may go down in price, but not much
Don't agree. I think if some bad happen to bitcoin, something worse will happen to the alts. Because they always follow the rise or fall of bitcoin, though some of them are not so tight or even reverse. |

This is not possible, and if the bitcoin bubble bursts, the entire cryptocurrency market will collapse. there will be a chaos in every place because of many people right now depend on cryptocurrency to make money and I guess they will become angry and cannot think of clear. the altcoin will become crash too if bitcoin crash but I think there will a new solution for cryptocurrency to survive because cryptocurrency offers something different and it is a new technology that will grow in the future and maybe we are using the cryptocurrency for daily. |

It is one of the possibilities that can happen. We can't really predict anything accurately right now since we don't even know when the bitcoin bubble will pop and if at all it will burst or not. The possibility that altcoins will go down with BTC when it crashes are too high since the price of BTC on the bubble burst will crash down and hence the altcoin value in terms of USD will see a significant drop too. There are also chances that the price may rise if people cash out and invest the amount into altcoins. So the possibility for Altcoin to up and down are equal and time will tell us what's gonna happen. For now the bubble burst will not occur since people have recently bought BTC according to the huge spike in it's price.
I agree with what you are saying here. Firstly, I don't think bitcoin will pop anytime soon and even if does pop, it won't drop to a value of $1 or $2 most probably. The thing that people need to understand is that bitcoin will continue growing with time no matter what and nothing can stop its insane surge in value. In the worst case scenario, if it does drop badly, people would obviously sell a major portion of their alts to purchase bitcoin when its value is low so that they can enjoy big profits once bitcoin rises back up. This is the thing. If you are a smart person, you would understand that bitcoin is far more reliable than any altcoin and nothing will ever change this. The altcoin market would crash and the bitcoin market would simply recover. |
