1070's max power isn't 250W, not sure where you got that from. It's 150W. Thus 65% would make it run at 98W. Yours runs at 161. You'd never be able to run it at above 180W, let alone 250.

250W is 1080Ti's max power.

250W is the 1080Ti's default power limit. Max power limit you can set to is 330W or 360W if it has a 280W default limit.

Like it says on the top of the specifications in your link, the 150 W power limit is for the reference cards. The Zotac AMP! Extreme 1070 is a dual 8-pin card with a max power of 250 W.

Oh, so they shifted the power limit for it... That makes mentioning the setting in percentage misleading. That being said, the card will throttle down hard if pushed above 180W anyway.

In either case I was originally wondering about being able to reach >500 sol/s at 3.4 sol/J; now that I know it's not a sustained figure it doesn't matter. I was thinking perhaps your card was really well-manufactured or you won the silicon lottery big time with it, but ~510 sol/s at 162W is something achievable on mine as well (~508 at 158 here).

On my linux rig with 12 cards i'm getting a lot of "Duplicate share" messages, on windows i dont see this message. Is this normal? Question for the dev.

Yeah, me too. At least 30% of my shares are duplicates, that’s why i haven’t switched from dstm. I also run 12 GTX 1070 but on Windows, haven’t tried it in Linux.

For 30min mining almost half of the shares are rejected, this is no go for 12 cards rigs back to the old miner. Hope the dev will address this issue.

hmm.. I tested it extensively on 6 card mining rigs and did not encounter any issues. I don't have a 12 card rig right now but I'm interested in looking into it deeper.

As a work around can you please try run two bminer processes which different device IDs? For examples,

bminer -devices 0,1,2,3,4,5
bminer -devices 6,7,8,9,10,11

Please let me know the results. Thanks.

Probably a noob easy question but after looking for 30 minutes I didn't find the answer so here it is. How do I append the -polling=true in the command line? AKA how do I open the command line and then append it. Whenever I click the bat command file it just starts mining but I can't type anything.

Please don't laugh. Everyone started at some point Wink

Right click on the .bat file and select "Edit" from the dropdown list.

Quite a few 1070 models have a default 180 watt TDP.
MSI makes at least 1 and I think 2 with a 240 watt TDP in their "Gaming" series.

This is WHY I keep trying to tell folks "specify watts, NOT PERCENT" on TDP numbers as % means NOTHING unless you specify the specific card model and even THEN it's confusing.

Can't believe how many ungrateful persons are there. Man made a free miner (with a fee, but it's free) and you are complaining like he owns you something.
No miner is perfect when it comes out, those things always need testing and polishing. I don't doubt that CPU usage will be fixed in some of the next versions.
Good job dev.

fee to use = NOT FREE.

Unlike EBWF where the fee is by default but can be configured to be lower or zero.

Did some initial testing on my 1080 ti Aorus in the gaming rig - and not real impressed.

+100 core +100 memory same as I use on EBWF

60% (150 watt) and 70% (175 watt) TDP settings - EVENTUALLY settled in at same-to-1% higher than EBWF, but took 2+ minutes to get there.
80% (200 watt) setting - eventually settled in at a hair LESS than EBWF after 5ish minutes of waiting for it to get there.
90% (225 watt) setting - never got above 740 where EBWF gives 760 and took 2 mins to get to the 740 figure which didn't improve in the 5ish mins after that I waited on it.

CPU usage showed some serious spikes on a Ryzen 1700 - not enough to be a problem on THAT CPU but I can see it causing issues on low-end dual-cores running multiple cards.

Even where the hashrate was higher, it wasn't ENOUGH higher to make up for EBWF fee configurability.

I'll do some testing later on lower cards, especially the 1070 ti that is my current "go-to" option for ZEC mining.

This does seems to work no ""Duplicate share" messages, probably there is a threshold above which the threads syncing is getting messed up.

Bump. Can someone advise how to disable artificial throttling in miner in bat file, as I have reference cards (Titan Xp) and they do get to 86c normally...

Getting message temperature 86c, slowing down for 2 seconds.
How can I disable this?

Great thanks.
So what's the syntax in bat file?

SET MAX-TEMPERATURE INT=95

for example

You don't need to set any environment variables for this miner. https://www.bminer.me/references/ are command line arguments. int means integer which is the temperature you want to set to.
