sorry, I just noticed. That is a decent result, though I had some 1070s which could go above 490 with a massive overclock of course.

The version 5.2.0 has been released. It brings a few improvements on NiceHash and Windows:

  • Introduced the option -logfile to append the logs into a file.
  • Minor optimization on Windows for cards that are mounted on the risers.
  • Improve compatibility for NiceHash.

Enjoy!

When are you gonna fix e-mail adresses?

I tested and it works for me. Can you take another look at https://www.bminer.me/examples/#escaping-characters-in-the-uri ?

Just tried again for fun -- still doesn't start for me on Windows 10. Not from batch file, nor on its own with any command arguments.

And that's with two different Windows 10 machines, one AMD Ryzen 7 1700, one intel i7 3770. Both with a GTX 1070.

Any way to debug this? I don't have anything strange running at the same time, as far as I can tell.

Just to confirm -- did you turn off windows defender? Windows Defender sometimes would deny the execution.

What happens if you directly click on bminer.exe?

Yes, I had tried disabling Windows Defender, despite it showing no indication that it cared about bminer.exe. Disabling Windows Defender had no effect.

If I double-click bminer.exe a cmd-style window appears for a couple seconds, then closes. It has no contents. There are no error messages or other outputs.

EDIT: same result with new 5.2.0 version.

Try installing Visual Basic libraries, .NET Framework libraries, and latest CUDA SDK. 99% it will fix this for you

lately I'm getting real hard dips on my pool's mining report (5x 1060 3g)
Bminer reports steady 1560 sols/s but the pool averages out way lower, with 500 sol dips and realy low share rates of 50
(this is on suprnova)

Thought I would post some of my findings here.

Have been using EWBF miner for some time, using 4x EVGA 1070Ti's.
Settings are 63% power limit, gpu +200, mem +700, fans on 50%.
With EWBF and the --fee 0.1 option on Zclassic, I get around 2030 Sol/s.
Temps are around 55C.

Same settings on DSTM,  2071 Sol/s, which is around 4.6 Sol/W

Same settings on Bminer, 2140 Sol/s. So this is indeed the fastest.

However, I get an error after about an hour of mining (sometimes shorter, other times it takes longer).
It says:
Get error: The semaphore timeout period has expired, resseting in 5 seconds.
Connection failed due to External host closed the connection

It then reconnects and starts mining again, however the results are not accepted and accepted shares stay the same.
http://i66.tinypic.com/2qjm42b.jpg

This has happened a few times now, so I reverted back to DSTM.

Any ideas on this? Error from my side, does it have something to do with the pool (miningspeed), or is it a Bminer issue (as it doesn't happen with DSTM or EWBF)?

I do some very basic, minimal compiling on these machines, such as compiling xmrig & xmr-stak. So I have the CUDA SDK, and some .NET/VB libraries. Can you suggest specifics on which ones I might be missing?

This is exactly what I had on various pools and on various equihash coins (each time testing for at least 24 hours) with v5.1 and v5.0
Lets see if this v5.2 actually improved anything *in pool*

Update: first thing I do notice is so far no rejects, over multiple machines in about 15 minutes of mining. lets see what 24h test will show

bminer might report faster in the miner but on nanopool im seeing less than ewbf

Been using bMiner now for about a week after using EWBF first and then DSTM.

Very stable and getting the most sols out of the 3 miners from bMiner although DSTM is a close second.

My 1060 6gb is running at 335-345 (avg is 339 id say) sols with OC. And yea the reject rate is very low like someone mentioned earlier.

All in all, good job to the dev and thanks!

5.2 seems to be worse ... I don't think 5.2 fixes the problem I reported earlier about Nicehash (and miningrigrentals). I still get lots of

Code:
Rejected share #152 ([1,"Share above target.",null])

and lots of

Code:
Rejected share #554 ([2,"Job not found.",null])

Sometimes 5-10 of them in a row. 5 rejected shares out of 85 is bad.

@realbminer: you may want to do some proper testing yourself on Nicehash, and on MiningRigRentals (with and without Nicehash as pool). Right now bminer is causing more harm than good when used on those.

Anyone have this working on Titan XP cards? Works fine on 1080ti (about 4% faster than EWBF) but doesn't even start with Titans
