The Daemon is chugging away at block 55704/57060 for a few hours already, is this normal? It keeps showing these messages:

WARN[xxxx] Block verification failed  rejecting since TX verification failed blid="smth"

Is this because of the recent attacks?

Can you restart your daemon and if it's still hanging can you make sure you're on the latest version (released a few hours ago) http://seeds.dero.io/alpha/

If you still have errors, please delete your mainnet folder and start again. I should add though that this is a rare requirement these days and probably not needed

Already restarted a couple of times, I was on last version. Deleted mainnet and restarted, will see if it hangs again. Hopefully not, want to see my wallet

I didn't use this wallet - a prettier interface wasn't worth the potential hassles, such as this - but it ought to have a command to generate or show the 25 word seed. If so, then you can recreate your address with the existing balance in the new alpha wallet.

EDIT - you can also recover your old wallet by using the private key; again, the GUI wallet should have a way of displaying/saving this.

Do you have your mnemonic seed or the view keys? You can restore your wallet using these.

These should always be kept to recover your wallet

Yeah such a hassle. Of course it's disabled because the old daemon is out of sync.

Open GUI wallet, then go to settings and hit "Mnemonic seed" button. Enter your password and wallet will display your 25 mnemonic seed words.

Save those words, they are the key of your happiness.

Next download appropriate version from http://seeds.dero.io/alpha/, unzip, run daemon, run cli wallet and there you will have option to restore from those mnemonic seed words you saved.

Network hashrate now at 17.65MH/s - I guess we know where a lot of those ASIC miners went after XMR hard forked... The only other CN coin I am mining right now seems to be skating under the radar, but a couple others that I only mine occasionally are seeing hashrate/difficulty spikes.

  I noticed one thing. When they announced the monero fork, the complexity of mining at DERO fell to a minimum. Apparently they used the last chance and sent all the power to the mining of the monero. After fork, the complexity of DERO increased 2.5-3 times. Even considering yesterday's rise in the price of dero, the complexity of the mining was small, but today the difficulty is maximum.  just my thoughts.
