Hello All,

With the launch of Smart Contracts on testnet we are also launching a development competition with prizes worth a total of 10,000 DERO.

We are looking for innovative, fun and functional Smart Contracts.

Bring your best and #BUIDL something amazing, the winners will be announced at DEROCON!

T&C: All contest submissions must be fully functional with valid outputs. All smart contract submissions are subject to an audit to verify validity. Any software with malicious intent is disqualified.

Docs: https://git.dero.io/DeroProject/dvm_doc

Source: https://git.dero.io/DeroProject/derosuite_stargate

Binaries: https://git.dero.io/DeroProject/Dero_Stargate_testnet_binaries

Smart Contract Example: https://git.dero.io/DeroProject/dvm_doc/src/master/lottery.bas

Good day! Tell me stable binaries daemon and wallet. Downloaded Atlantis. Synchronization takes a very long time. The last slice the same is downloaded from the website.

My full chain sync took around 1 month until now, and is not yet finished. I'm at block 1810k from 2560k, and with this speed it will take some more months.

I wanted to buy some coins, is there a reliable thin client? (no web wallet please)

It only took me about 70 minutes to complete the data download of the whole GUI, I think it may be your network?Try to VPN?

I believe we speak about different things. My blockchain is 18 GByte in size, at block 1810k. If you download the full blockchain in only 70 minutes with your GUI, than you are on a really heavy backbone.

I use VPN, and I try another one. But I expect no better results, other chains are running well on the current VPN.

The alternate VPN shows the same very poor sync performance. It's not the VPN, it's the dero client. (My system is ubuntu 18.04.1 LTO)

Sorry, I may not have understood your meaning correctly. I would like to say that my dero GUI wallet only needs about 2.4gb of data. I think you must have downloaded the node instead of the client.

From the github releases I downloaded file "dero_linux_amd64_2.1.5-1.alpha.atlantis.03112018.tar.gz". Until block 1811k I have a chainsize of around 18 GByte. It's not a GUI, it's CLI only. Have I another option? Shall I try the awful windows version?

If you need, here is the GUI wallet download address:https://github.com/deroproject/dero_gui_wallet/releases

Thanks, very helpful. Obviously it connects to a remote client, this is a thin client. It will have synced soon, and I can start with it. In the meantime I will try to download the full chain for the next few months.

The GUI thin client should be linked on the main webpage of the project. And the full chain is this slow to sync, that somebody should prepare a download snapshot from time to time.

Yeah! Smiley

Any news on the end of the Smart Contracts contest? Normally, it's related to the next DeroCon, is it still the case?

https://derowallet.io/ now updated with new design and topoheight fixed to 0 so we shouldn't see any issues going forward with the web wallet not showing funds. Many thanks to @ZoZ#6193 for the great work!
