There is a lot of congestion and the Cryptokittens game has a lot to do with it but we shouldn't blame Cryptokittens for using Ethereum as it was intended to be used.
Fair enough these are cats that are being traded but it runs along the same principle as anything of value and the ownership being transferred from person to person, this is the first time something like this has been testing the network and so far the network is struggling, imagine if there were just a couple of similar trading games or auctions happening, it would bring the network to a standstill.
If anything this should prompt a refocus on the ETH scaling situation.

The amount of ICOs and pump and dump airdrops are just too high right now and they are actually reducing ETH price in long term.

Because it's crypto kitties. But do not worry about it because everything is back to normal. And the ethereum returns back to the previous price may go back to higher prices so we can be confident. Certainly if we trust there is a good thing to do. Perhaps when the issue is over, it may also pump up the ethereum and may even roll over bitcoins next year.

Because it happens naturally here in the crypto world. Corrections are always bound to happen everytime to all of altcoins and even on bitcoin. Prices rise and fall but often rises even more with the come back. Not to mention that the price of bitcoin are high. which is natural because i have seen bitcoin drop in price and eth increasing. And vice versa. So don't worry, this is completely natural and not something to cry about. |

Other than the Crypto Kitties thing... it isn't ETH going down, it's BTC going up! Most other alts are down vs BTC. And BTC is rising because of a variety of reasons, partly a slew of mainstream media reports about this year's price rise, partly the news about opening of futures markets, partly the news on developments for lightning network. |

I think there are a few problems here.
- Crypto Kitties overload the system and mindless users are ready to pay 300 gas instead of 40, that their operation was faster.
- Many new coins that are created on the basis of the Ethereum,
- Very rapid growth of bitcoin, and as a result, the fall of almost all crypto-currencies including the Eth.

because cryptokitties issue,they makes ethereum transaction is not going well,so many pending transactions in ethereum blockchain.
don't worry after this issue finished,price growing up again.
Many people really blaming kittens for congestion of ethereum and it's really causing trouble Im almost wasting for failed transaction I'm submitting but not process successfully and just bounce back to my wallet. |

it isn't ETH going down, it's BTC going up! Most other alts are down vs BTC. And BTC is rising because of a variety of reasons, partly a slew of mainstream media reports about this year's price rise, partly the news about opening of futures markets, partly the news on developments for lightning network. That seems it like. There are some exceptions past week like Dash, IOTA, Monera, Monacoin. But quite sure that Bitcoin will keep on going up. That's good for a lot of people, but the coin is not very practical. (Buying a coffee?) There are lot of other better blockchains, but traders are only interested in price. |

One of the reason maybe is the rising price of bitcoin. Since bitcoin is in demand right now, the price is being pulled. It is just like the economy law wherein if the product has a high demand, the value rises. We just need to buy some time then etherium will go up again.

Ethereum is down because of the cryptokitty issue as people have already highlighted.
It's a positive and a negative for Ethereum:
+ Shows the platform is in very high demand and more use cases can only increase the value of the eth
- Highlights scaling issues but the dev team should hopefully respond
Depending on how long the issues last, I expect the price to trend sideways.
The issues have led to competitors such as Waves and Stratis to surge today. However NEO seems to be following Eth.

So bitcoin took value, and eth is still stable, wich means that eth price in bitcoin is going down. Nothing to be scared about, just pure logic.
