Which is the real value?

It depends on the exchanges itself. That's why its possible to do arbitrage from one exchange to another. They have their own system of computing their own value, I don't know what's the exact formula but I assumed the volumes on that exchanges will influence their price.

LOL. You haven't seen the price in India and Zimbabwe. The price is way above the Western and even Asia trading platform which is also high.

Everyone likes to use whichever site or reference has served them the best or seems the most reliable. Whenever I go to check the price of bitcoin I go to Preev.com. There are dozens of sites that all use different exchanges or various means to acquire the price they claim is the correct and current price of bitcoin.

The price on each exchange is different because these exchanges are not connected, they're all independently operated and therefore the BUY & SELL offers are completely different; causing a different current price at any given moment. Long story short, they are all accurate, but you may find more compromise and consensus if you use something that more closely rides the average, like Preev, Bitstamp or something similar to that.

The different prices on the different exchanges sometimes allow you to Buy/sell on one platform while doing the opposite on another for a net-profit, this is what people around here and other financial trading circles call "Arbitrage".

Those were the real value of bitcoin, It's just that bitcoin's price differ from one exchange to the other. Say for example polionex may reach 15K USD first but on other exchanges It is still at 14K+ but that does not mean that polionex is better than the other. If you are already on one exchange such as GDAX then that is the platform where you should look at to check the value of BTC.

I agree, different exchangers have their own rates, so, you might want to check it all out before you sell your bitcoin, because you might regret it in the end if you are just going to sell your bitcoin without knowing that there are exchangers that pays good rates on bitcoin.

There is no right or wrong value. They are real in terms of that particular exchange. As far as the factors why they are different, its only specific to them, like buying/selling orders, how much they fee's they charge, volumes of transactions and so on.

Right. That's why we can practice it. The price different between two trading platform is taken into account then you can place your buy/sell order, your profit is the difference between the exchanges bitcoin prices. You can buy low at one exchange and sell it higher at the other side.

I think it all depends on the level of confidence a person to an Exchange, because the higher the level of confidence a person against an exchange then it can make the exchange has a large volume in the sale and buy Bitcoin. so in my opinion you do not think about it, because if you are convinced of an exchange then you can use it continuously. oh yes if you are looking to benefit from arbitrage then you should think that there are some costs you have to calculate, the cost is usually referred to as withdraw fee. You must calculate it as best as possible because if you are wrong then you could lose.

all of these prices are real! because real people are paying real money on each of these platforms to receive real bitcoins in return and they can withdraw it and others are selling real bitcoins for that price and getting real cash and withdrawing it.

the reason why these differences happen is mainly because of the small nature of each of these markets combined with a surge of demand. people are less willing to sell their bitcoin these days which means price keeps rising more than it can drop. and with the increased demand the price sometimes rises more on some platforms than the others. and with a delay they small ones will follow.

Well it is normal that all of these cryptocurrency exchanges have different buy and sell rates, and there is no right and wrong there because Bitcoin didn't really have an official value. This is business and this is how exchanges make their profit. It is also depends on the demand and supply on that exchange, if the demand is higher and the supply they hold is not enough, what will happen is that the price of Bitcoin on that exchange will be more expensive compared to other exchange. The best example here is Bitcoin exchanges on Zimbabwe and India.

Whenever I am not trading, I look at the price at coinmarketcap. So I won't get confuse.

If I want to trade my bitcoin, I look at bitcoinwisdom and see which of the exchanges have the highest value at the time, send my bitcoin there and do the trades there. But if you only have a few exchanges you are using, just watch the price in that exchange. Prices at exchanges varies because of the volume they have.

The prices depent on the orderbooks on these exchanges, all of them are legit. They differ because the orders that are being placed can vary on the different exchanges. However if you want to have an average price that is taken from all exchanges together you can have a look at cryptocompare.com or at coinmarketcap.com.

All of them are real and a great arbitrage opportunity for people who trade at all of those exchanges, although, fiat is slow and arbitrage is hard in these case.

With CEX.io, you are trading bitcoin against fiat USD, not even USDT (tether). You can only withdraw to your card and your bank account, hence the difference. You lose out on your fees and will get your 15700-aroundish amounts.

GDAX appears to show the market price though. Never tried MT5 though.

They are all real values of the bitcoin it is just the case that the prices are different depending upon the volume of the coin that is being traded over the specific exchanger. As everything here is decentralised it will be on the host who provides you bitcoin service on how much prices to be decided for that particular day or hour of the day. The more the traded value they have the more prices they will have really. So its clear statement that everything is upto us what price should be put on bitcoin. I mean the exchanger will decide obviously.

This is just an example how stuff work in the decentralised environment. Just compare it with the fiat and you will learn more about this. The dollar bill is always worth dollar throughout the country or throughout the foreign country in their own currency because government decides that.

Welcome to the world of volatile cryptocurrencies! I am concerned that, all the people transfering from Bitfinex to Gdax trying to earn money with the price difference. You can start scaling out profits into USD(T) if you’re feeling nervous about the price being too high. Every exchange has unique value, don't be confused.
