The ticker has been showing an ask of 15.1001 for the last 5 minutes, but the order book shows lowest ask of 17+
WTF?

Believe me, I tried to get some discounted btc.
Seemed like a great opportunity to arb against Tradehill, but that doesn't work so well when the Tradehill sale executes but the Gox buy doesn't.

Still broken.
Also, all trading sites I tried show wrong bid/ask, so the API is broken too.
EDIT: probably the ticker on the trade page is based on the API too.

Presumably this has happened because the order book has stopped reconciling, but they carried on taking orders. So the question is - when it starts working, how are they going to match up all the overlaps fairly?

How is it that bids are sometimes greater than asks on Mt. Gox?
Here's from the orderbook api 5 minutes ago.
See how the highest bid is greater than the three lowest asks? How can this happen?

It's not just a flakey API either. Here's the Mt. Gox UI, offering to sell coins for more than the cost to buy them. Unfortunately those trades never execute.  |

It gives me decent numbers to quote from. But as the quote system is buggy, I'll be damned to actually trust the trade system. |

Unfortunately those trades never execute.
Confirmed, my trades aren't go through either. But, just like mining, it's not very hard to send your BTC to another exchange and fire off trades pretty much instantly. I just sent all my "sell for the day" coins from gox to TH and it took about 15-20 min to get there, about 2 seconds to sell them. |
