I think of the beaches in palawan, boracay etc. Then I think of the food like lechon manok, etc. Then redhorse beer. Then riding motorbikes without helmets and no licences. Good times.

If properly developed and advertised to the international tourists, then Palawan has the capability to emerge as one of the major tourist attractions in the ASEAN region. But then, the authorities must improve safety and reduce the red tape and bureaucracy.

Philippines is known for their hospitable people. You just can't help but feel really important when you are around them as if you are a part of their family. They treat complete strangers with compassion. If there is one thing that you won't probably forget about the Filipino people is their addicting smiles and happy faces.

First thing that comes to mind when you mention Philippines is their food. It is always sweet especially their pasta and also their distinct street food such as balot which is a premature chick.

Everywhere, cheap coconut oil is sold, which, according to the sellers, is the best protection against sunburn.

Philippines are islands. It is poor. they have social, economic and political crisis to be solved. lot of poor Philippians work in overseas, mainly in Middle east countries. in 2nd world war there were US military base in their country. so lot of american influences can be seen in Philippines. I know many people when I was in UAE. To me they were quite nice. they are quite clean and neat. but they don't plan a tomorrow. they just want to live today. spend whole salary for valuable clothes and foods, at end of the month they have nothing. I think that is not a wise way to practice. But that's how they are, and one more thing, I have heard Philipine ladies are more caring to her husband. I have seen many westerners got married to Philipino ladies.

philippines is one of the bests tourists spot in whole world and it is popular because of its beautiful nature and lots of filipino are very polite. if there's only one you will hate in the philippines, its politics.

Its President sounds like a nut though. I would be worried visiting over there.

There are a lot of tourist destinations in the Philippines such as Boracay, Siargao, Baler and Palawan. The food is also nice because it is very different from the usual cuisine served in the West.

Philippines is a country of happy people. Recent survey shows that Philippines people are third happiest people in the world. It is also a country with beautiful beaches that attracts tourists domestically and internationally. Maybe not that rich country but at least the people are always smiling and very hospitable.

Kidding aside, Philippines is a great country, It's an obvious answer as many foreigners go here because of the view, scenery and other tourist spots, but most of all, because of the People. Philippines is more than what it seems. It maybe a small country comprised of many island but Filipinos have the biggest heart when accepting visitors from other countries.

I agree, Philippines are more friendly than any other country, we gave our being hospitable from foreigners and we make them feel at home when they are here with our country. Philippines really has a lot of beautiful spot when it comes on travel. That's why a lot of foreigners are here with the country and they feel welcome here.

Philippines is one of the best country in Asia. Tourist spots are beautiful and relaxing. Places there are worth the price and it isn't too expensive. Also, Filipino people are hospitable and friendly, that's why their included on the happiest people in the world. If I would go on a vacation, I would still choose Philippines because I had precious memories there.

Aside from the beautiful tourist spots and the beautiful traits of a Filipino, there are also some negative thoughts I have which are the traffics, slow and expensive internet connection, and the poverty.
