I would like more information on why my account was hacked and bitcoin stolen.  I read there was an issue with blockchain and they fixed it and are refunding those who were stolen.  Its been a long time and I haven't heard from anyone.  Can you help me?

How much did you lose? post the transaction id if you want further help... we could look at where the bitcoins went. Some exchanges have known addresses, so we could at least know if the coins are sitting on some exchange, but chances are, you lost the money and that's all.

I haven't seen blockchain.info claiming they had a security breach that cause funds stolen lately. You have to know if it your computer was hacked (in this case you would not get a refund) or if it was on blockchain.info's fault. In any case, never store coins online. Learn how to use Electrum and store your coins there, in a Linux computer that you don't use everyday ideally.

I'm surprised nobody here has mentioned the possibility that OP's information just got phished. He says that he read about an issue with Blockchain.info that nobody else knows about. Blockchain.info is known for being one of the online wallets with the most amount of phishing emails sent to users. If you were guided to a website that claimed you had your Bitcoins stolen and that they can be refunded, know that the website is fake. Do not put any of the information in it, as that is what will lead to your real bitcoins getting stolen from you. Blockchain.info has not claimed any security breach and has certainly not said anything about paying anyone back. Furthermore, consider using that as just a hot wallet and getting a hardware wallet for your cold funds; it is safer to hold Bitcoins this way.

You need to be a bit specific and elaborate here . You can prove your transaction id or has number to prove your statement . First of all bitcoin never gets stolen if you have somehow given the access right to someone else accidentally and lost your bitcoins . The block chain never refunds you for that . That is something that you are totally responsible for . To be on the safe side ,  try keep your private keys and passwords safe and hidden from everyone else . There is not going to be any refund . The source from where you heard that they might give you "refund" is a faux . If you are just spamming then you might be on a risk .

Well hold on a second because i opened a Coinbase account and they gave me a public address and when i sold part of a coin they
gave me a new address so i was sure the coins were on the block-chain but when i checked for transactions against the two public
address given to me then i discovered they have no transactions against them.

Seems like Coinbase can counterfeit BTC and use them to run their own pool and are making a fortune in the process.

It should be my decision if i want a new address when i spend from an account but as it is Coinbase has my BT-Gold from the fork
and won't give me access so i feel scammed and it's all been legal but i can give you the fake address they gave me if you like
but i don't think you will learn much from it.

Just yesterday I was reading something in "The Sun" newspaper and this is being read by millions of people that might soon be
coming our way and it said transactions fees in BTC were free but us experts all know better than that don't we however if we just
dispel complains by giving someone a flee in the ear then were do you thing we are going

Not so long ago everyone was saying this and I only found out later, not being an expert at the time and all that.

Myself pointing out that i clicked a link in google (Took screen capture later) that clearly stated that if i spend over $100 with
coinbase as a new client then they would give me a joining bonus of $10 in BTC got me too and i know that news like this becoming
public might not help your 'investment' rise in value but issues like these need to be addressed or we will end up back where we
stated from.

It's hard to believe that Blockchain would go for a refund it's decentralized i think you do have your own private key sir, Im thinking that you have made a wrong move with your passphrase nor wallet id and password. most likely  Blockchain would not even be responsible for any wrong transactions and mistakes that has been done with an human they don't have any control of our wallets i think.

Your bitcoin couldn't have been stolen unless you gave them your private key or the password to your blockchain.info account. It's also weird that they would allegedly refund 'stolen' bitcoin. First of all bitcoin transactions are permanent (unless the thief, for whatever reason, decides to send them back) so there's nothing blockchain.info can do about that and I highly doubt they would refund you out of their own pocket.

Have you tried contacting them? You can also try and strengthen your password further. Weak passwords are often the reason why accounts get hacked.

I am no expert at Bitcoins but i am when it comes to programming windows machines

Now it's possible to write code that peeks at network traffic and also to get a list of files back from the windows API that have been changed
and hidden away in the dark depths by microsoft. I can see my disk drive is writing away vasts amounts of data all night long and I won't tell
you about the back-doors they are using via ConHost, SvrHost to call home at night which i see by using my own version of something called
wireshark to peek at the network.

It is not possible for me to read this data because it has been encrypted so i can only guess what is going on.

For years I was looking for visitors in the night that could get past my Firewall that has both in/outbound rules and in the end I found them
because they use encryption so byte stream data shown nothing you can read once encrypted and in the end I found what i was looking for but
I am sure as news of this bug gets out that Microsoft will fix it.

What i found was that if you audit the SSL-Certificate store during the night using a program is that certificates would appear in the store
that were often issued by the DoD and other government names and some certificates would not contain a central authority to validate that the
certificates were authentic.

Lets just suppose that what i am saying is true and you are running a windows machine then are you sure that if you upset the
wrong people (expose the CIA/NSA) then they could not hack your account, steel your coins to punish you ?

Blockchain wallet is the one of the best online wallet but the security is can be control by you. Whether you have the surf the blockchain wallet in Google search means you may loose money .
This is how they are loosing bitcoins in the wallet even one of my friend the mistake logged in the advertised site in Google results which is same like the blockchain.info URL.
Whenever you are trying to login you can keep check whether you url is right or not before goes to login with the wallet id.

I remember that the only major hack was years ago, and people were refunded.

But i haven't heard of any major hacks recently regarding blockchain.info, there have only been a small few cases here and there meaning that it was probably just a case of a compromised account due to lack of sufficient security on the computer blockchain.info was run on.

So even if you were hacked, you'll probably not be able to get a refund.

You should probably include some screenshots, the TXID, alongside more evidence before we can even help you here.
