I've been following this company (ActiveMining) for around 2 weeks now.

Initially I picked up some shares, being rushed and seeing the IPO selling out, I didn't do any research first.

After reading all posts by k.slaughter and a huge % of other threads relating to this, it is my unqualified opinion that investors will lose their funds.

I could well be wrong, but the number of red flags is such that one cannot ignore it.

I hope I'm wrong for the sake of you investors.. But honestly fellas, I've been in business myself for a decade, witnessed many business operations come and go.. Feel like I have a sense for what is a legit operation. My gut is saying stay away.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

We have all done our due diligence, poured over the threads and consumed every bit of information we could.
We all know the risks, and im pretty sure we are all only investing what we can afford to lose.

But thank you for your concern Smiley

On last count there where 3 threads about Kens business, so if as you say you have read 'a huge % of other threads relating to this' that means you have read what 2 threads? You can't have read all three threads as that would be 100% so would make your 'huge %' a nonsense -  huge in percentage terms would have to be less than 100%. So which of the three threads have you not read and why?

Right... You come here, state your opinion and don't make a case for it. And as another poster said, you didn't even read all the threads.

State your qualifications and make an argument for your position or stand in the corner with the other FUD.

Averaging of prices at different times in the day along with average percentage changes over the past month, my maths had us at 0.00439 at 10PM GMT but we're already nearly there 9 hours early. Obviously in reality anything could happen, but from a maths standpoint I think we'll hit around 0.0045.

Ah, the cozy comfort of maths. That would be awesome. We'll see. Maybe Ken will have some information regarding the eAsic deal today. That could throw off the average, in a good way. Cheesy

Can you share some details?

Essentially it's just a gut feeling, after reading many (but not all) posts. I've spent a decent chunk of my life observing businesses/personalities on message boards, and generally searching for investments/ways to make money.

I think it's given me a bit of a feel for what a 'successful venture' feels like. I'm going with feeling/experience here.

For example, I'd read how the friedcat threads and other successful operators worked. There was never a time when they needed to 'moderate' their own threads, the structure of the company was clear and understandable at first glance, the direction the company was heading was clear, relevant questions were answered instead of relentlessly dodged. Focusing on dividends now? People acting offended when asked to post a ticket stub (for the recent trip)..

Just too many little things, which quite frankly, made me feel a complete lack of confidence.

Anyway, I won't post anymore here - I am no FUD spreader! Everyone should do their own research and reach their own conclusions. I really hope this works out for ya'll, I too am on the search for an investment where $10k can become $500k+ in 9 months, ala asicminer IPO holders Wink That's why I'm here, reading away, trying to figure out what's real.

If I'm wrong this one will surely cost me, and you all deserve the gains if so, because I sure as hell can't see it today.

Good luck everyone!

If you think you can gain 500,000$ with 10,000$ it is worth investing if you think there is higher then 2% chance of success. thats risk - reward ratio of 1:50

Well just to bring some kind of balance or rebuttal to your information - if for entertainment only:

1. The whole ticket thing and various reactions is because Ken has been hassled non-stop 24/7 with proof here proof there proof everywhere after going to some effort to win back confidence (though ultimately yes, we wouldn't have this situation if his communication was top notch in the first place). I think some people have just got tired of it. This forum witnessed all kinds of documents etc and a member went to visit Ken to investigate and wrote up a report.

....Personally I think demanding for a picture of a ticket was overkill given the timeframe. I think it was appropriate to ask for a "Yes the meeting went well / or not" reply though. We did get that and hopefully a more thorough response will shed more positive news.

2. Ken didn't choose to moderate the AMC thread in the first place from memory. I'm pretty sure it was moderated as the result of a poll taken.

3. As for the direction it has always been clear. It has always been the intention to own a good stake of the global hashrate by the business developing its own machines and building a farm as well as selling machines to the public at a markup. The delivery of intentions was somewhat murky for awhile but right from the start it was plainly stated.

Build next gen machines, buy at manufacturing price, build farm. Build more machines, sell them at markup.

Can't blame you for being queezy but. I feel like you really have had to witness things developing day by day since ~ May to have a good feel on whats going on it has been an interesting rollercoaster to say the least.

That's fair enough, if you're happy with how things are progressing that's good. I just wanted to explain my earlier post.
