Obviously it depends on your personal situation and your personal goals. You won´t become a millionaire with 100 dollars but for me is around 5% of my total savings, as sport.

There is no minimum amount for investing, but for trading I would advise to have at least 1000$,  you should learn on real money even if you lose a bit,  you will become more experienced

The amount you put should be the amount you can afford to lose, the problem with some investors is they think of a high profit that they can achieve instantly which would already make them unrealistic. We have to take it slowly and on a step by step process because it's better to be consistent so you can continue to grow your portfolio here in crypto.

How much do i need to start trading altcoins. I would like to know what would be the ideal number.

Thanks!
The optimal amount is not. The more you invest, the greater the possible profit. However, you only need to invest the amount without which you can live

You may have started investing already since your topic was posted 3 months ago. But for the sake of answering your query, here's my thought. The starting amount is not the real issue. It can be $1 or it can $1,000,000. The question is, how much are you comfortable to start with? So the answer will actually depend on your personal preference. If you're a risk taker, then maybe you can go beyond your comfort zone. If not, then stick to that amount so that even if you lose, it wouldn't matter much to you. Also, diversify your portfolio as many would usually advice. This way, you'll have a few fall backs in case some of your coins fail.

There is no number that is right for everyone, if you can invest 500 dollar then that is the amount you are going to use to start your trading career but if you can use more money and you are confident in your abilities then use more money, this is going to help you in the long term.

Given how now altcoins and Bitcoin fell, I think that you can start trading with 1000 dollars. In my opinion, it is quite low, but it is a good amount to start.

Start with as much as you can. But you must understand that investment is a risk. Therefore knowing what you are doing will give you advantage as it will give you a open mind understand things and to develop yourself more. If you do you're research and have patience you can make some nice profit this way.

If you start at a very small sum, this may cause you to not invest bitcoins, because the cost is high. First of all, I will try some popular names, such as Ethernet, Ripple and Cardano. I have invested all of this, and the result is very good now.

It depends on you budget, if how much do you want. In coins you should know the value and and the right value of investment to start in coins. And how much are you willing to lose in the coins, you should know all the risk in trading tho.

Every professional investor says, that at least 10% from your portfolio you should invest in to high risk investments - crypto is good example of high risk investment.

As many have already pointed out, there is no minimum to invest (except for maybe those required by different exchanges). Invest what you can afford and invest in yourself.

there is no such thing as how much you should start, just invest how much is your extra money, or the amount you can afford to lose, because trading altcoins is also risky, so you must be very careful when investing.

In fact, you can start with the price that is not a pity and there are extra accumulations. I started with $ 50 so I could not raise much.

Invest how much you can afford to lose because this trading is probablity game where we must be ready for both possibility, loss or profit are both normal so dont cry if you are loss and dont be too happy if you are profit because the time is not stoping till today.

However much you are comfortable with investing.  I wouldn't take anyone's advice that gives you an actual number that you should invest lol.

I would maybe just set aside a little bit each month and play around with that.
