It is utterly insane right now, my transaction of 0.2 bitcoin with decent fee of 0.002 has been stuck for 46 hours now.
At first Blockcypher classed it as Medium minor level interest, then the transaction disappeared off Blockcypher completely, now it reshows again but this time as low minor priority and transaction time of 9 hours, even though its been 46!

Things are seriously screwed right now with address to address transactions cause of the higher traffic levels, something really needs to be done about this ASAP. Yes I know they're working on it segwit lightning etc etc... but this is getting insane now.

Do what the guy I bolded says - that accelerator has worked for me many times also.
Your fee is like 1/5 of what it should be to get a quick confirmation these days buddy.

He literally said he withdrew bitcoin from his exchange. The exchange is sending the transaction and paying the fee. Nothing to do with him.

There are miners to confirm your transaction, and the block time is not a 10-minute interval guarantee. Besides, you already have paid a small fee for the tx so the only choice you have now is to wait. Accelerators sometimes come with a small fee to push the tx, but there are free alternatives though you need to time them in order to get it free.

What are you talking about? The network doesn't go under maintenance lol

EDIT: It came from a German exchange I presume? Man that's some awful fees to pay, and really awful if they are still taking a cut from withdrawals.
