Anything mainstream news, avoid. Did you notice that they only ever point out when bitcoin drops? It's pretty hard to do after a 1500% rise this year but they just keep trying. "Oh goodness. So volatile!" = massive price rises and 30% drops here and there. Get over it. Get used to it. No government to bail out dying companies here.

I would suggest 99Bitcoins, lol bitcointalk obviously (I've learned a TON here), some YouTube videos at the beginning will help you wrap your head around mining, )although it's not going to be worth it unless you have access to dirt cheap power). Any video with Andreas Antonopoulos will have him explaining it very in depth and we'll for a newbie. Other than that, you'll be able to find random guides for every wallet imaginable all over the place. You just need to decide where to start!

You have to google out most of the materials for the learning in the internet about the Blockchain technology. It's an interesting area to dive in. The most important thing here is to show interest. You must have interest about the blockchain and its benefits. You can also watch Youtube videos online. Thanks
