Well I don't think so . I am pretty sure it will drop once it touched 20k USD . Because that is the time when people will cash out their btc as well as everyone are eagerly waiting for BTC to touch 20k . No matter if it touches 100,000 USD next year , people will definitely try to sell their Bitcoins now . Impatient people like to do things very quickly and then regret afterwards . I am one of them btw xD

You could Cash Out The Profits Dayle. You do not need to sell all your Bitcoin and never bought again. Buy and Sell is all you need. It is great for liquidity and helps more people get some. Unfortuly it is too expensive to transfer Bitcoin to another person, so That makes things harder.

Anytime is a great time to cash out profits if you're happy with your profits. Of course if you do it means you're going to miss out on huge profits in the near future. If you want the most out of your Bitcoin then slowly start cashing out when it hits 6 digits. Or better yet never cash out and wait until you can readily pay for everyday things in Bitcoin in a few years and just use Bitcoin to buy stuff and then you never miss out on profits by cashing out.

Is everyone selling their BTC?
It seems the price is dropping rapidly today leading up to futures
If you have sold your bitcoin during that time then you have made a costly decision. It may be dropping, but it will be just temporary and you should already learn that its better to hold and not cash it out. That is just a healthy price correction and good time for those who are waiting to get in. I don't know about the Christmas time though, on the contrary, bitcoin peak during Christmas 2016 so it could happen as well this year. And there's no wrong with cashing out. Traders see the price to be ripe for cashing then they will do it without second thoughts. And after a week of CBOE, the price is less volatile now. Lets see in the next couple of days when CME turns to offer bitcoin future contracts if it hold true.

If you are going to cash out your profit then you might loss another opportunity because bitcoin is reaching to 40,000 USD which is quite near and bitcoin have promised that it will be crossed soon. Because the demand of bitcoin is now a days a lot therefore people want to invest into bitcoin. So i want to mention something just hold your emotion toward bitcoin believe me you will get even more profit than that.

IBMINER DONE A GOOD JOB. I learned a lesson from him. He gave me negative trust just because i was dealing with account seller. To buy an account.

Another reason why people are cashing out is because its Christmas time. Every body needs to buy something so they need fiat. As far as I know March to June is the altcoin season. Is everyone selling their BTC?
It seems the price is dropping rapidly today leading up to futures
I agree with you, i think that's the reason why they cashing out their bitcoin ( like you said. ) And that's the number one reason why the value of bitcoin dicrease. Anyways, for me i don't want to cashout or sell my bitcoin because i know the price is going back after this coming fork. Yes it is Christmas time but people need to opt out to other things to get money instead of withdrawing their bitcoins. In this way the price and value will not change and bitcoin can retain its market share. And your point of altcoin is of no value and no future. Because bitcoin has a very strong foundation built beneath it and it can now withstand every market drop and then recover afterwards. All investors need to do is not to withdraw their bitcoins and decrease their investments. They may take a small loan and do their work. So be careful when casing out. Cashing out profit depends on the desire of investor and now people are investing on the bitcoin for the longer terms because they don’t want to earn a limited profit all they want to earn is bigger piece of profit and it’s up to you how much you want to earn if you invested at a year back then this time is best for the profit making and if you invested in this year then you must hold your coin until the end of year to gather huge.

Well, one of the most valid reason may be that it's christmas time and people over the globe needs to buy gift items and other materials, that's why they are selling their bitcoins. (btw it's illogical) They bitcoin price started falling last night and people got afraid of their profits that's why they started selling their bitcoins. But now the price got normal and danger is over now.

I am enjoying this price downflow because my altcoins were dead. Now seems they are coming to life again. Green days actually, And I can't believe that they are saying that BTC is on a downfall, man imagine BTC's price last december. The only thing that are losing here are my alts and the short term holder of BTC. I have been holding mine since then. I am only cashing out when I am in desperate need of money to avoid the loss. BTC is more than a gold to me right now. I have a prediction that it might go 6 digits next december. You can do it whenever you want to. But just for me, it will always be not a good time to sell. I have been thinking about all the bitcoin I have that I have sold before and now it is all regrets. So from now on, I dont want to feel that again, I know this price hike aint over yet. There will be more increase that will come. Those forks that will happen will just make bitcoin popular again. Hey, and they will be storing back their bitcoins.
These forks are just for BTC to be multiplied because they can't control its supply they are making money through pork. The modern era of "airdrops" so they say. Even if you wanted to sell you're gonna have a pretty hard time cashing out. Just look how many issues all the exchanges are having! I see complaints everywhere of people not being able to withdraw for over about 2 weeks in worst case. No reply to support tickets, sites going down on a daily basis and so on. So either you have a reasonable amount of coins which you may be able to sell on the OTC markets, or you gonna have to deal with the same issues as the plebs have to. That's the actual situation.
This should be a warning for all of us that don't let the exchangers have our trust, just trade there but it is always better to have your own hardware wallet. look at what is happening to bittrex and some other exchangers. And last week I almost lose 1 ether in ether delta because the transactions are congested.

Drop and grow price both are the basic part of crypto currency. Price can be down in some causes but again price will be rising. I think it is not proper time to cash out. It is time for holding to make good profit in around few days.

During those days since this thread was started we saw a lot of drops and pumps and currently bitcoin is trading on 19000$ price. I think we don't need to make panic even if it is going to fall down to 10000$. It is still huge price for bitcoin in which no one could believe in the beginning of this year, so we need to than Bitcoin even for that. I saw a specialist's opinion that bitcoin will fall deep after 20000$ point, but I don't believe in that. Bitcoin is not the babble and I am going to hold and raise my founds with every opportunity.

At this moment I am happy to have cashed out a substantial part of my bitcoins. Offcourse i am hoping to buy back cheaper, but overall I am happy too have profitted this much. Taking profits is always good. And in my case I only sold like 5% of my total wealth.

I heard a news just few hours ago about global correction i think we will see a little bit price drop but not a huge drop.. But if you made already a large amount of profit why not sell few bitcoins just to save the profit and use for your future needs. Also i heard other news about investors are converting to Bitcoin cash so i think we will see more drop sooner . Hope that people will not panic selling their bitcoin until we heard the price will normally increase back again until christmas..

Bitcoin hasn't yet reached it's true form and is just at a Super Saiyan form (DBZ fans will understand XD ) . It still has a lot to achieve and figures to reach which will probably be much more exorbitant than the actual value . The one million dollars questions is whether to withdraw or not each time bitcoin faces a huge pump or dump , and across history we could see that the answer to the question was always NO !

Cashing out of profits need not happen at one point in time, it can happen over a period. I personally will book some profits just to hedge against a drop. We have had a great run so far and it may continue, but there is no harm in booking limited profits and enjoying its benefits.

People who are with panic could cash it out without any sort of negligence or thinking about the future growth. For users who believe in the growth as well has the stubborn mind to accept anything could go with holding or regular buying and selling.

It depends if you want to cash out by this time, if you do panic selling it will be your lost, you should know your risk first, if you cannot handle the slight dip, then cash out, then come back after a few moths or weeks and check if you did the right thing. One thing i see that also contributed to the dip of the value of bitcoin is, after breaching the 20k usd mark, a lot of people seem to put their money on exchanges, thus an increase of the prices of most altcoins, since it will also profit them, but if you are new to investing in cryptocurrency, better to reearch first and study the market not only for bitcoin but for altcoins as well and you will a significant relationship between the two.

The lead up to CBOE and CME is over. So it’s normal for the excitement money to stop flowing in. But I don’t think shorts are to blame for this yet because they actually must have it to short it and there is still time for that. The focus has shifted to altcoins as well.
Not a good time to sell because the flight may take off anytime~

I think it is not the right time to cash out.It is the time for holding to make good profit in some days. Price rising and drop is the part of crypto currency. Price down for some reason but price will be rising again.
