we all only can predict and cant be always right. i mean if i know wich crypto will have great price in the future should i be rich right now. Buying an Eth right now is a great choice though. If you want to add another alt to your portofolio joining some more ICO wouldnt be a bad choice, go join one and make sure you do a backround check to the project first

You are forgetting that the main reason of buying altcoins is just for taking advantage of their features. not just the price or if you are going to get rich or not.

ethereum has always been a good coin, even when it was below $15 each one of them, it has always been a good smart contract project.
If you want to buy eth, do it, nobody is going to stop you.

If you are just going to buy for making profit, then be careful, because the eth blockchain has been having a lot of issues lately

I would recommend you as beginner to keep bitcoin first. Don't begin with shortterm trading. On longterm it is no mistake to take also a little amount of ETH to your portfolio.

I use coinomi, because it has easy handling.
You could buy Ether on poloniex, bittrex or cryptopia.
There are many more good exchangers, but the three are good for beginners in my opinion.
Don't take all your funds to one exchanger. Keep the most funds on your own wallet.

You'll have to research it and see what you think. ETH was my first crypto, and still makes up a sizeable proportion of my total. So I'd say yes, but this is based on my opinion of the potential that ETH has, and its developments whilst I've been following it (last 9 months or so).
It all comes down to individual assessment really. Different people will have differing views, and give you different advice. The absolute best thing you can do is learn and be as informed as you can. This is the one thing that will really help you in cryptocurrencies.

Crypto world is sometimes difficult to predict. but I think buying or investing on ethereum is a good choice. it's because Ethereum is always steady in price, and also I think it's more up than down.

I think we are just discovering what Ethereum is capable of. The ICOs are just one thing, CryptoKitties proved there can be other types of applications on the blockchain.

But despite its potential, it's hard to put a price on it. Just because it's useful doesn't mean it has to be expensive. Like water and oxygen.

Basically buying ETH is a good alternative option aside from bitcoin, though a lot of issues about its technology I still believe that in long term they will come up in high notes so better to participate on this technology. Still do your own homework so you can invest on ETH confidently.

Yes it is but for your information about the recent problem of the ethereum network. But it's not difficult as you said because there is a lot of expert you may need to follow it. the best way to buy the etheruem today is through the centralized exchange site. You can try to use mist (official wallet), Symphony wallet(official) and another web wallet just like Myetherwallet.com

Ethereum is the number two of the whole market. It provides a platform for new projects and you can host your smart contracts on its blockchain easily. These are good things. Then buying it is also very logical for starters.

As previously stated ETH is stable, its beginning to take off and is experiencing small teething problems. I have some, but Im a late entrant to this game. I think I will always have some ETH in my portfolio, I dont really see how you can go far wrong with this coin.

but this now ETH network still problem , confirmation in transaction is very long time, and need high gas price

It's hard to pick what is going to happen in cryptocurrency markets but ETH is generally pretty stable. In recent times it has had some troubles with the network and transactions taking a long time and higher gas prices. If they can solve these issues I would predict ETH should see some nice price rises in 2018.

But do your own research on everything before investing.

MyEtherWallet (MEW) is probably the best wallet to use for ETH.

Transactions are much faster and cheaper too. Bitcoin is only on top because it was the first and it's already seeing massive adoption. Have you even looked at the fucking charts? It's tanking do to these blockchain issues and it's only gonna get worse. There might be another pump but gotta wait for it to bottom out first.

Yeah eth should be in everyone's portfolio, I hold some decent amount of eth and planning to buy more while price is reasonable and it's a good entry point. We just have few more days to close the year and many are anticipating that eth will rise soon but with the current issues that the network is facing it might affect the increase but with all of these I'm more optimistic that it'll resolve sooner and the price will boom.

No one know about crypto future but still worth to buy, just like ethereum. If not worth, why ethereum still become the second after btc for trade and investment? Many people still replace their fund with ethereum and has income. You choose any strategy, ways and wallet to buy ethereum, no one will stop you. But you must understand ethereum and real market works. Just take one option you like and face the risk.

buying ethereum is worth it but I think buying bitcoin is more worth it especially if bitcoin price increases like today. but ethereum can get the increase too but we need to wait for a while.

first, you must have bitcoin or money if you want to buy, you can buy at the exchanges or you can directly to buy at shapeshift or changelly. it is better if you have another wallet on your computer or your android phone and don't save it into the exchanges if you want to use the ethereum as a long term investment.

If you ask me, i'd say it is certainly worth it buying ethereum now. The price is underpriced by a huge margin when you compare it to its competitors and other similar cryptocurrencies. In case im right about this (and many people think the same too), ethereum is going to have an insane run in the next year.

I think this will likely be the biggest challenge to Ethereum, the transaction fee, which is on the increase, people can pay that for Bitcoin because it is a dominant force in the space, but to be paying ridiculous gas fee on Ethereum doesn't make anys sense
