Do you think it will be the best time to sell as there are two kind of speculations one says the value of bitcoin will reach $20,000 by 2018 and there are also speculations that the bitcoin might go through a dump in upcoming days but i know we cannot believe into random predictions by random users due to the volatility of bitcoin but i need some suggestions whether to hold on to bitcoin or sell it out and invest some of it into altcoins and then wait for the price drop to reinvest into bitcoin which i am not sure will happen or not.

I'll tell you so that bitcoin has outlived itself a little and may become after the price drop is absolutely useless to anyone. Therefore, my advice is unequivocal to go to the viola and there already to expand its wide activity.

I have sold many bitcoins when the price was around $2200 and that was the worst decision I have made in my life. There are no right times to sell bitcoins just sell it when you want some money otherwise just hold it for few years as it can make you rich if you have few bitcoins.

If you would like to know when to sell and buy Bitcoin for trading, I think to know it use technical analysis will be good, and use daily chart to specify where support area and where resistance area, but this is not 100% guaranted so for the better sell partial when the price of Bitcoin soar so we will not miss that moment.

It is depend on you if you buy bitcoin and how many price you buy this coin then you calculate your profit if you see your earning is tolerable you can sell but if your buy price is not a right amount so you don't sell your bitcoin because you lose your bitcoin.

We can not guaranted when best time to sell Bitcoin so in my ipinion is sell it partial and also other portfolio hold it for longterm, because no body can predict price of Bitcoin correctly.

maybe you can use my scenario. if you have more than 5 btc, let say you have 10 btc. you can sell for 1 btc right now and wait if its the price increases or decrease. if its increase, then you need to determine what target price you want to sell and if its decrease, you can determine what target price you want to buy. at least, you still have 9 btc in your wallet just in case if the price increases more than $20k in this month so you can sell it later. with selling your 1 btc, you can trade buy and sell again if the price decreases and I am sure that you can make a nice profit with this. but you need to always check the trend and the price.

This is good advice, ideally you could sell a fraction of your BTC at each high point, so you gain money, but also minimize risk. Of course, I still advise you to keep hodling until it reaches at least $50,000 as unless you have 10+ BTC, you're hardly going to walk away with a significant amount of cash.

I think Sell Bitcoin depends on how much profit you have made so far. Many people say BTC will reach $25000 by 2018.
I will suggest that keep them in your wallet and do not worry, because nothing bad will happen.

Depending on the time you entered in BTC,opportunities for profit appear almost every week-price is drop few thousands $ and this is opportunity for buy at a low price, and in 24-48 hours price is go up few thousands $,nice profit for every trader.

I think that's the safest thing for you is to hold your BTC if you are not experienced in trading and investing in altcoins.It all depends on how much you believe in the future of BTC,there will always be ups and downs but it is normal and does not need to discourage us.

When you want to hold a bitcoin anytime you can buy as long as you are willing to hold for long term, but if not maybe you should wait when is the time that bitcoin will decrease.

For me not a good idea to sell bitcoin since there are still potencial to increase more if you sell you will lose opportunity to make more profit..
But if you bought bitcoin in cheap price well you can also good to sell them to save the profit and wait for the price drop again to buy cheap bitcoin but i still confidence to hold bitcoin because i see more potencial about bitcoin that it can be increase more its value this month.. Look at the market right now the price of bitcoin is increase back again after the drop price happen past few hours. .

Yes, I agree. it seems silly to sell your savings without special need bcz they can be multiplied and used in various other projects

If you are really that much uncertain I'd suggest you to move your money out, not all of it but at least one that you have invested if this is the case. By doing this you will just put a side pure profit. Other thing is to try to gamble with alt coins. For instance IOTA was like 0.5 maybe a bit less and in a month time it went till 5$ which means that value increased drasticly. You can also keep it in bitcoin, I am keeping some in bitcoin as it is the first thing that people hear and what pops in their minds. In my opinion all is looking bright with some exchanges such as nasdaq itself is looking to implement bitcoin trading. So in my opinion bitcoin price should be on good legs/stable terain.

But again do your reaserch as we all need to do.

IOTA was even totally a different case. For a huge run of IOTA like that, it is expected to experience some huge correction for the fact that it is not an established market as much as bitcoin and it is still very early which subjects it to much more level of volatility. However, bitcoin is an established market and no one of course know what can happen tomorrow, but it would take a huge FUD to bring that currency down at this stage. Better to hold than be sorry for selling later on.

If you have bought bitcoin about a month ago, then right now you have got good profit. I believe you should hold only 20% or 30% and sell rest of them and buy other altcoins.

i dont know whether it's good strategy in trading, but indeed, i prefer to hold altcoin than bitcoin, maybe the sound is weird, but if i have bitcoin, when i think i get profit on it, ofcourse i sell it then. i think that many altcoin that i hold will be turn into some btc again to replace my btc that i sold. i think nobody has used this weird strategy.

You can sell btc any time you want as you needed. Most people will say still " hold " is the best way but " sell " at this moment is not a bad decisions also. For me, I'll sell for my saving and prepare my strategy for next year. I'm not decides to become part for end year trading, to much speculations can make me panic. Up to you and have a nice day.

For me this is the most right time to sell your bitcoins before the bitcoins will entirely fall. As the experts are saying the bitcoins rise is very high that tend to lead in a very tremendous fall also because that is what statistics have shown so before it is too late much better that we sell out bitcoins and buy a lot of it when the price falls so that the value wull rise again. Then when it reaches the highest peek then sell again that is just how business works.

yes, i agree with you, better to sell as saving then thinking about next plan. it will be back to you if you luck. dont think to much in selling bitcoin, if you getting profit for 20% or more then what are you waiting for.? dont think about future, nobody knows what will going on tomorrow. good luck..!!

I used to open a thread with a similar question. Had dozens of suggestions and decided to hold. That was the right choice. Hold as long as you can until your nerves burst )

For me it is the right time to sell bitcoin if you are doing a short term investment because the price is still high, but if you are on a long term investment then don't the price will fall but it will increase again.
