Hello,

Sorry if this is really basic...

I bought some BTC earlier this year and left them with the dealing platform I bought them from. Then in August there was a fork and the same number of Bitcoin cash were created and credited to my account. So I now have an equal number of BTC and BTH in the account.

I would like to withdraw them all and deposit them in an Electrum wallet, which I have just set up. I know I can simply withdraw the BTC, but can I withdraw the BTC and put them in the Electrum wallet also, or do I have to use a different wallet for them?

Electrum only support BTC.
For BCH wallet, choose one from https://www.bitcoincash.org/#wallets
I recommend Electron Cash, as it is a fork of Electrum.

This, but watch out to this software stealing your BTC.
I mean, BCASH has same private key as real BTC.

Not in his case, he is sending from an exchange to two separate wallets.
But yes, creating Electron Cash wallet offline will be the safest thing to do.
