The founder of WELL Ildar Fazulyanov gathers WCEF Crypto Hackathon in San Francisco this weekend.
WELL is among the sponsors of this cool event.
Hackers are working hard on creating solution that ensures all WELL patients' assets are protected and safe.

HOW WAS WELL CREATED?

That's a story indeed! And we want to share with you what inspired WELL founder to start this great journey.

When WELL founder, Ildar Fazulyanov, broke his leg in a snowboarding accident, requiring surgery, physical therapy, and rehabilitation, he quickly came up against the shortcomings of the medical system. Unable to find a physical therapist for four weeks, by the time he finally stepped into his first appointment, he had re-broken his leg. The result was a second surgery, an additional $50,000 in expenses for Ildar’s insurance company, and tremendous pain and frustration for Ildar.

That frustration led Ildar to create WELL, a global decentralized, blockchain-based marketplace for healthcare.

Thanks for the question. Yes, WELL will provide its services via video and conference: on desktop, tablet or mobile devices. Telemonitoring technologies used can be web-based applications, videophones, messaging devices and etc.

Hey, about the hackaton - It finished quite successfully. WELL expanded its prices to the best teams:)
I post some videos here, so you can watch them. More news are still yet to come.

i like that it is already an existing project. healthcare requires a lot of networks and knowing what;s happening on the ground/logistics. i think this is a worthwhile project.
