I also like the cardboard doorway setup. I thought about doing something similar at my place but i got lazy and didn't look for a place to buy that large of a piece.   

I also have a couple of the bitcoin miners instead of the Avalon's . Bitmain comes with the controller but you have to purchase the power supply.

You are right about the noise, i still need to figure out what to do about that at my place. Its in a separate room so well see.

I added 4 more units since my last post and got another one on the way. Will update once that one is installed.

The setup is definitely noisy, you can hear it across the warehouse (15000 sqf).

I had a bunch of those cardboard pieces sitting in storage, so that helped

You haven't found any dust issues with it sitting in a warehouse? Compared to a household?

Perhaps a good time to invest in some dust filtration blankets (which also acts as noise cancellation), to replace those cardboard boxes? I've seen some data centers in the past use some sort of material for this application. Not sure where to source it from.

The intake side of the miners is in our server room (AC cooled "clean" room). So no dust issues.

This cardboard thing is temporary. We will eventually build a box in the server room for the miners.

0.46 btc since september, most of it already invested back in the venture with pre-orders (just ordered a couple more 741s from cryptouniverse december batch).

I never used the S9. But the decision to buy the Avalon 741 was based on the fact that it was easier to purchase, and all the reviews here said it was way more reliable than the s9 units.

Free electricity

Please keep us posted on how long your free electricity remains free.  I suspect somebody is going to eventually notice the huge jump and initiate a conversation with you about it.

Feels like its time to setup the whole room, because the door is full

To create a hot and a cold area is a really good idea. But I wont use cardboard. Just pure for the safety. It can get on fire really fast.
I also have a small and a big farm. @ the small farm location I use cast walls.

I am not sure how much heat the Avelon powersupply generate. I did not create a hole for the powersupply because, the bitmain powersupply does not generate a lot of heat.

Anyway good luck with futher improvements.

As good as the same setup i have. What cable size do you use for power? Do you meter it as well?

sheet rock is cheap use it instead.
