When you make a deal with whitelabelcasino http://whitelabelcasino.com/, maybe they will sponsor casinocoin, instead of profitsharing. It's for there promotion as well. A win-win for both.

Casinos are all about $$$ - lots of it! That's pretty much the reason you don't get a real profit making, turn-key open source casino solution. So I don't think it is realistic to assume that whitelabelcasino (or any other commercial entity in this line of business) would 'sponsor' CSC and give up on their profits. Keep in mind that for them it actually does costs time and money to host and support any casino through them and it might be pretty expensive to incorporate cryptos to their payment system. So it might well be that I never hear back from them - but I'm still hopeful!

But think about it: if it doesn't cost much upfront (some commercial operators offer their intro packages without any upfront costs), it still seems a good way to get started even if we have to give away half or more of the casino profit down the road. Still better than no casino, no profit and no CasinoCoin, because people might loose faith in it over time. Some of us actually use a similar model: in daily life: we might have a mortgage on a house or a lease on the car, or we might use a credit card etc. Same model: low or no upfront cost, but you over-pay over time. Yet we still love to by stuff on credit Smiley

Of course, even if we would focus our efforts towards an initial launch through a commercial provider, we still have the option to make our own, private casino solution later. For me it seems a bit unlikely to really succeed against products that have seven or eight figures of investments in their software packages.

One last remark: We should also keep in mind that  in may countries gambling for profit requires a gambling license. It probably doesn't matter where you live. As soon as you try to pull money out of it onto your bank account you might get bitten. This would be another reason to start with a commercial provider as many of them deal with that tricky aspect.

It's not a MS Paint job. Thanks to casinocoin, I've had a chance to play the above slot game from the developer's website. It's real.
I can say that other than the graphics/sound which can always be improved, the game mechanics and the reel animation is quite good.
He just needs to pump out different graphics for each, then just release 10+ machines at once. (easier said than done I know)
It's still far from being a commercial feel slot machine but pretty good for a ground up developed machine in such a short time.

Alright, thanks for the update.  Good to know it's not fake hype to try to pump the price.  That would be a bad thing in the end for the coin.

1 page back is a post of Bigtop1967:

" I have a background in internet marketing and design, and think maybe i'd like to do more to help.  The community seems great, and i'm loving what i'm seeing day by day.  The designs for the site looks pretty damn good too.

I do think it's hugely important for CasinoCoin to have a presence everywhere - FB, G+ at LEAST.  G+ could in fact be very useful to this community for putting teams together who are working on the different parts of the project.  I guess i'm volunteering to create a G+ page, but would of course need to be provided with graphics, information, links etc in agreement with the devs.  God, there should at least be a basic page there, so let me know if you want me to do it,  I'll then rally the troops to follow the pages on G+ AND FB.

I friend of mine is also considering working with me on some CasinoCoin games.  We reckon this could have an amazing future. "

I supose you will contact each other on this Wink Sounds good to me also.

For you PHP developers out there, the CasinoCoin-ExchangeRate GitHub repository has been created at: https://github.com/transcoder/CasinoCoin-ExchangeRate

This allows you to do a real-time pull of the latest price of CasinoCoin in various currencies within your app.

Just an update regarding the CasinoCoin API call in order to pull the latest price in various currencies -- caching via memcache has been implemented to speed up calls. The caching interval is set to 10 seconds.

@jakiman - Thanks for bringing this to my attention regarding the new exchange. I have sent an email to Allen over at Atomic Trade and am awaiting his response.

@casinocoin - Thanks for the link to the CentOS wallet building tutorial. I have added it under the 'Helpful Guides' of the first post.

@FullLife - The link the solo mining guide has been updated.

@bigtop1967 - We currently have a Facebook page that I use to post the latest news and updates: https://www.facebook.com/CasinoCoin

I like the idea of a Google+ page to organize and lay out the current developments and teams responsible for different aspects of CasinoCoin. If you don't mind getting one started, I will link to it from the main CasinoCoin homepage. You can use the official CasinoCoin graphics from here: http://casinoco.in/presskit

@Haku99 - I really like the Cubeia poker platform so much that I contacted the founder and CEO (Frederick Johansson) about CasinoCoin integration prior to my health-related hiatus. Frederick mentioned that they already are working on an effort to integrate Bitcoin, and was open to the idea of integrating CasinoCoin depending on a couple of factors: 1) interest from the CasinoCoin community and 2) they would need a port of the opensource Java code of bitcoinj for CasinoCoin.

I need to re-engage with Cubeia with regards to picking up where we left off, but I'd like to have some progress made with #1 and #2 before getting back into contact.

Regarding #1, I could direct him to this thread to show the activity and support behind CasinoCoin, but I'm looking for something more. I'm open to any ideas from the community to show our interest in Cubeia + CasinoCoin integration (ie. online petition?).

Regarding #2, I started a port of CasinoCoinJ from a fork of LitecoinJ which can be found here: https://github.com/transcoder/casinocoinj

I must admit that my strongsuit is not in Java, so up to this point, I simply tweaked some of the Litecoin relevant values into CasinoCoin values. It has been on the back burner since. The code compiles fine, but some of the test use cases fail since there are some references to Litecoin. I could use some help from more experienced Java developers in this area to test out the code. Experience with bitcoinj, litecoinj or the equivalent would be a plus.

Alright, thanks for the update.  Good to know it's not fake hype to try to pump the price.  That would be a bad thing in the end for the coin.

That is the last thing I want to do. What I want to do is slowly raise the price of the coin while stabilizing the market value.
In the end I want to see the Value of CSC Stable, with minimum volatility.

I have some updates for everyone looking for them.

Beta Launch, Slot, Etc:

As for the First Slot Machine Game, We will be finished and launched this week.
Instead of doing a beta launch what I will do is a soft launch allowing the users who signed up for beta come onto the site. I will still provide some CSC to play with FREE! This is because of the donations given, again a very big thankyou. This url based login/deposit will only last for a few weeks. I personally will be working on the new website design, as well multiple graphics for slot machines in this time.

Casino Backend, Scripts, Etc:

The original developers who are working on the first slot will not be completing the work on the next games and admin modules. I have went out of my way to find and contact a successful Bitcoin Developer to start work tomorrow on the login, affiliate, and other important features.
This is a copy of one of the messages he sent me just to give you guys an outline on exactly what is being done. This guy is Canadian, Professional, and Experienced working with crypto-currencies.

*Some Text removed to keep confidentiality*
_______________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________
So I figure all of that would take about a solid 40 hours of work. I can put in roughly ( + / - ) 15 hours a week into it, so that should put the timeline around the 3-4 weeks that I mentioned. Does that sound reasonable to you?

Here is a breakdown of the work/features. let me know if there is any issue or something that I missed:
_secure admin login
_small handful of admin modules including site settings (fees, percentages etc.), wallet management, and some stats/info on bets and players etc.
_simple player registration/login system
_CasinoCoin deposit and withdrawal functions
_generic provably fair betting system, to be used on roulette and future games (essentially a provably fair random number generator plus odds calculations)
_javascript/HTML5 based roulette game
_ability to play with fake chips + no account (so they can try before they register)
_multiple, configurable bet increments for game
_Integrating with current available site design
_support in installation and setup of site on live server + setting up casinocoin server

I think that pretty much covers it. If you would like to have an affiliate system as well (which btw would have to be casino-coin based, or at least would be the easiest that way), it would be about an extra 4 hours. So 40 x $** = $****, or 44 x $** = $****. Let me know if that fits in your budget.

If you are still interested, I would like to get a somewhat formal contract set up. Nothing too fancy just standard stuff, outlining the work, timeline and fees etc. I like to try and keep things professional. I also require 1/3rd or 1/4th of the project cost up front, and the rest upon completion. Once that is all taken care of I can get started pretty much immediately. I also have my own servers I can use for development, so we can use those for testing.
_______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________

This should not only ensure security, fair play, frequent customers, provable play, but also provide a Base for the casino operations. From here it would be much simpler to add additional games to the system. He is going to provide a high quality american roulette wheel to start and from there we will expand. The slots will be re-written to include various bonus features including but not limited to free spins, crazy reels, bonus games, x* spins, and more!

As he stated above an estimation on the time finished is around 3-4 weeks, I asked if he could provide the play chip version of the game after a week so everyone can test it out and watch the progress. There will be no beta launch or anything associated with this launch. It will be completely stable from the beginning.

$$$$$$$$$$:
You might have seen me mention that I was low on funds from previous projects etc.
How will I be funding this?
I own a variety of websites that earn good safe adsense income. They make around $130-$200 US per month and am willing to sell one of two to the community here. The earnings only increase with more effort put into the site(articles, marketing, etc) I have just cashed out on adsense(well in three days @ $1000) That will cover some of the costs of the developer and I am hoping selling the other websites will fund more. Pricing them at around $800 each.

Where will I get the rest of the funds? I am hoping to sell these heaps of alt coins I have and transfer them into BTC as the Developer also Accepts BTC as payment!
CasinoCoin is not going anywhere. All funds are still in the address below.
Once we have the play roulette wheel in a week(-/+) a few days I am hoping the community trust is high and we can start things rolling.

I was away thursday until now, and that would explain my absence.

Some other ideas and projects I am working on / Want to get started:
The paper wallets, Waiting for a design to come in from a user who said he would upgrade my current one.
-Will start a website offering free wallet builder and ability to download.

CasinoCoinCity Players Card:
Rewards points
Unique user id
Hidden Keys unless under light
Mobile Version
Player Rewards levels, CSCBack, Gifts, Promos, and More.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This will help the casino stand out and actually offer the players something besides just the ability to play.
There is only a few things I like better then going to the casino i usually visit and having free room comps, dinners, cashback, slot play, etc. It makes you want to come back and you enjoy the time you've spent there. We cannot offer free rooms or dinners unfortunately, but can give great incentives that will want players to return!
This would not be implemented or development would not start unless we had well over 10 Games, and a returning customer base.

Some other things I have on my mind..This is just getting really long:P

Hope this clears up some confusion, and for the others posting about contributing..  WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TOO!
Everything helps, please pm me with ideas etc and I will send you my skype to talk if you prefer.

Cheers everyone.

@casinocoin
Where would you like to see CSC's value stabilizing? (The are relatively few coins if compared to Online Gambling Market value,.. so people will be betting in decimals if the coin really hits of and gets adopted)
Also I would like to know from transcoder what value we want CSC stablizing at.

Thanks

(btw love the way this thread is living up again)

Hi Casinocoin,

For CSC to stabilize at those heights or higher, we should be as unattractive to traders and multipools as we can be. This removes volatility and will slow the uplift of value, but will give it a broader base.

Just my 2 cents

Things are getting worse on the CSC network  Cry

To stabilize the coin i suggest we seriously look into how to block multipools! Currently difficulty will drop from 2.5 to 0.9 in about 250 blocks. Network hashrate is down to 130 MHash and all miners except my own have left my pool. On top of that i currently am hitting an incredible no block found round of almost 900%!! So not finding blocks when difficulty is too high and when the difficulty will adjust in about 250 blocks all multipools will get back on casinocoin bringing in about 75% of all network hashing power which will cause the other pools not to find blocks as well.

This way i am not making any profit on neither miners nor pool. I setup the pool to generate some income to pay for the CSC developments i am working on but currently it only costs me money. If  this continues i will be forced to close down https://www.megamineros.com/CSC so if anybody has any suggestions please bring them forward.

How do multipools calculate profitability? I think they probably use gethashespersec on the casinocoind daemon? Various coins have already disabled that. Also i am convinced that if we adjust difficulty more often in will help stabalize the big swings. Any other suggestions on how to block multipools? can they be locked out the network somehow?

For casinocoin to be used as the currency for casinos we need to have stable mining to handle all future CSC transactions as fast as possible. So help solving this issue, it will benefit all CSC miners in the long run!

My assumption is that they use a pretty basic equation of amount of coins you can get per hour vs the average price of the coin on exchanges. Same thing coinwarz does just with automatic switching...
Making the diff adjust more quickly might prevent the later multipools from jumping on if a quicker one has already pushed up the difficulty. It would also help us get it down to a proper level once they leave.
