Hi

It would be great to add a french site like http://www.rueducommerce.fr/ or http://www.cdiscount.com/ or http://www.materiel.net

One week from today I will be looking at adding a bunch more affiliate sites. Sorry for the wait. In the meantime, You can spend bitcoins at amazon.fr on the amazon page at http://spendbitcoins.com. =)

Hey have you looked at gamersgate. They have a gift system like steam but better. Basically you make an account and when you buy games you earn 5% of the total in something they call blue coins which you can use to buy games on there site. I know it's not cash but it's the only gaming site I can think of that has a program where you earn something for buying things.

Spendbitcoins.com is the easiest way to spend bitcoins on Amazon without incurring any transaction fees. How can I spend bitcoins?

Directions:

1)    Add the items you desire to your cart through http://am.spendbitcoins.com. Please note, we do not get credit if you do not add your items to your cart from our affiliate link.
2)    DO NOT CLICK "PLACE YOUR ORDER". Instead, complete the form below:
    Email Address:
Which site are you shopping on?
Exact total (in site's native currency)?
Where did you hear about us?

    Problems? Try a manual order.
3)    Upon receiving the agreed number of bitcoins, spendbitcoins.com will send an Amazon gift card of the exact amount requested to the email you used to make the original request (within 12 hours).
4)   Go back to Amazon through http://am.spendbitcoins.com and complete your purchase with the gift card. Please use our affiliates link to get to Amazon as that's what keeps this service free.

That's it! You've just spent bitcoins with no transaction fees!
I was all excited when you said you were back online selling Amazon GC for BTC. That was until I saw your instructions. Can I suggest you have an option "with fees" to just get the gift cert as a straight trade for BTC. If you want, keep this option available for those who want to jump through all the hoops, and don't mind waiting 12 hours to finish an online transaction, just so they don't pay any fees for a great service.

Anyway, just a suggestion. Good luck.

Hi there,

The instructions aren't as hard as they look at first glance. It's just telling you how to get your total. If you already know the total you would like for a gift card, just put the total in the total box. Then it's just asking you to use our affiliate link when you use your gift card so that we get our cut from Amazon. If you don't want to do this, feel free to order anyway, just add whatever you think is a fair fee to the BTC amount requested.

The 12 hours is the MAXIMUM amount of time it takes. It is usually much quicker, but it allows for the fact that we may be sleeping when you place your order. If anyone knows a way to automate ordering on Amazon, I'm all ears.

Thanks for the idea.

Unfortunately we had to cancel New Egg due to terrible customer service and a rejection of our affiliate application.

If you are looking for mining equipment, check Memory Dealers, the first store on our home page.

Cheers!

I would like to offer up to you a wraparound solution to include New Egg as a shopping option for your customers. Although it doesn't address the customer service aspect of New Egg, I see no reason why they would reject your next affiliate program application with my idea.

Set up an adjunct, self-hosted Wordpress themed micro site, specifically used for selling New Egg products. Of course, don't mention Bitcoin anywhere on the new site, nor link to it via spendbitcoins.com until the affiliate program application has been approved. After approval, utilize the same wraparound idea you did for Amazon, directing your customers to your New Egg site whereupon they'll use their gift cards so that you'll be able to enjoy the kickback.

I hope this idea is sound and works for you. BTW, I enjoy your site. Smoothe! (that's odd--my spell checker shows that smoothe ain't a word--that aren't smoothe!)

It'd be cool to see a grocery store like Kroger or somebody available, even if you had to pay a fee. I think food and housing are too things that need to be available via bitcoin to help it take off. once we can get those two we are well on our way to being able to be "off the grid" so to speak.

I agree! I'll look into Kroger ASAP. As far as housing goes, if anyone is willing to accept bitcoins for rent, please list it here: http://spendbitcoins.com/wp/category/housing/

Would be so cool to see that take off!

Bandcamp.  Support the indie artists while support the indie currency.

+1 to this.  I really doubt this can be done through spendbitcoins, but I think bandcamp should implement this themselves.  I think a common hurdle in paying for online music is the fact that you need a credit/debit card, and possibly go through paypal or something similar, so that paying in small amounts is difficult.  If I say 'pay me whatever you feel like for my music in bitcoins' I might start receiving a few bitcents now and then, which I'm perfectly happy with.  Although, my music is always up for free.

Hey TeKillaSunRise, check it out

I wonder if there's anyone in the community that would host a "bitcoin for mp3" site for a couple % off the top.

That's beyond my coding ability or I'd do it, but I would think it would be popular...  digital music is a perfect product for bitcoins in my mind.
