We made a poll on our Twitter (https://twitter.com/Shopawl_com/status/938506204489441281) and asked should we remove Bitcoin from our platform and replace it with BitcoinCash and the votes are surprisingly in favor of BitcoinCash.

Due to high bitcoin network we are not accepting orders below 5$ on our platform but as Bitcoin price is increasing day by day it is no more feasible for small value transactions. But at the same time Bitcoin price is empowering people. They can buy expensive products with less amount of Bitcoins as price increases.

We want to hear suggestion from you as well.

Cheers!

Oh, you had a poll with 18 votes and you are sincerely thinking about?

If you want to hear our opinions then provide us with some numbers.
What's you daily order volume, average order value, and why haven't you started accepting bcash in the first place.
Let's see how many orders you get with BTC and with bcash.

And just a thought...
You wanted publicity with this clickbait designed topic, but you will end with a lot of people hating you for supporting Bcash instead of BTC.

It's true that bitcoin has been moved from its main goal of being a currency to an investment asset. Majority of the bitcoin holders are mainly investors and a very small fraction of the holders are using it as a currency. But due to the high fees and high confirmation time, it is becoming really hard to accept it for small transactions. So investment products like deposits, exchange traded funds, futures contract and hedge fund investments have become great use for bitcoin instead of using it as a peer to peer currency.

However, I don't support using bitcoin cash either. BCH is a genetically modified bitcoin created by a hard fork. It's not an original crypto currency. It borrows the mission statement from bitcoin and since the difficulty is low, miners are mining it. BCH doesn't have a good future. So I would vote for ETH to be added. Small fees and excellent transaction speed is a plus for ETH, at least to me

Guess you don't need a third person telling you what kind of ridicule you've just opened yourself up to... but shill opportunity aside, you're free to choose an alt of your preference. Lots of Bitcoin merchants like you anyway are ready to accept alts with lower fees and quicker confirmation times.

With the price increasing the way it is though, every 5 dollars you earn is potentially more with each passing ATH so I don't see why you'd give upon that.

Fair game to any merchant who adjusts business models to current conditions, that's the beauty of decentralisation isn't it?

First thing first, the number of people in that poll is not representative at all. I dont understand why you have to use Twitter to gather opinions where not all your users are active on Twitter and even if they are, not all of them are following you. If they are following you, not all of them will see the tweets because of the number of people they follow whose activities would show on their timeline. If you want a more representative opinion, do two things

1. Create a mail that will be directed at your users with just a click as to whether to vote yes or no and

2. On the home page when they log-in to your site, a pop-up should appear for users to cast their votes and with this you can get the representation of the people you wanted and from there you can make your decision.

A lot of the voters must have been carried away by the fees and nothing else.

You should find a more neutral way of contacting your users (for example, creating a mailing list and then sending out the poll to all of your users).  As it is, the poll isn't worth very much with only 19 votes.

I've never heard of your platform before though, so I doubt it'll matter if you decide to make the switch.

I think that, given a year or two, BTC may continue to be a currency again and people will be more comfortable continuing to accept it.

I don't support the idea of removing bitcoins from the platform as i completely support bitcoins and not bitcoin cash which came up recently in the market.

I can't blame you or any other site for doing that , at the end you should be doing what's good for your biz and you are the one to determine that
still some people may want to keep using bitcoin even for small transactions , so I guess the best thing to do is to have multi options

hopefully the lightning will solve this problem , cause it's really getting ridiculous

This threads title is definitely absurd. It seems to me you like to draw some attention with a title that people makes curious(which you are good at)
but we are talking only about 16 people's opinion, it doesn't reflect the communities opinion.

Bitcoin should never get removed from the platform. Why is it necessary to do that? Bitcoin will always gain popularity no matter what.
