You can search Good markt cap coin and you can 50% invest in bitcoin and 30 % invest in LTC, ETH, BCH etc. 20% invest in cheap and good potential coin like as XRP, CS, TRF, Ncash etc.

Diversify into at least 3-4 coins.

I would invest 20% in a NEO coin. About 30-40% invested in BTC and 40-50% in ETH. I think this is the best choice.

There's no such thing as "Safe" for investing coin. You have to take risk and vulnerability. The market is not stable. Try to search the market of which coins are on trend and has successful history. Try research about the coins or token so you will know how to manage your investment.

Well if you are going to invest this big amount in crypto currencies, then it is better to diversify your investments and buying many promising and valuable coins and tokens, this will help to minimize the risk of lossing.
There is many good coins expected to rise up highly in the future, like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin and Phore.

I think at you have to think better before invest.If you research about altcoin then you will find a solution which one will be profitable to invest. if I have that amount I would XPR,XMR,ETH and BTC

For such amount I would prefer NEO EOS and IOTA , rhese are my favorites and I think they going to rise high. You can also invest some amount of funds to ETC (ethereum classic)

You already have a goal to invest long-term, and I think you are ready with the risk. For 12k maybe you can buy 1 bitcoin and the rest some kind of altcoin.

Do you research and decide but stick to the top ten coins and you are better off with bitcoin and ethereum but don't put all of that money in on place, find a good ICO and buy into it

Well, why not, a very good idea. In cases of investment in Litecoin, an Ethereum, Bitcoin - you have a very small chance to lose your money. I can not guarantee that it does not exist at all, it is, but very small. So I think for a start it would be the safest way to invest

Buy ten or even more. In this case you can to be sure that you will earn money. Also take a look at the ICO projects. Some of them very promising. But remember that ICO - long term investment. |

Well I'm sure I will gonna invest half of it to bitcoin so that all I gonna do is to wait for the bitcoin to rise up again and increase it's market value so that I can be able to get back my investment in a short span of time and gain profits at the same time and I will also invest the other half of it to a food truck business.

All the risks in that crypto must exist. I think litecoin is good and its value is pretty stable for altcoin. Consider also ethereum, because eth is also good and profitable. It would be great if you split the money you had to buy some different coins.
