Which is a safe coin to invest in the long term? How long should I hold it? Is there a risk that I might lose it all? I am a noob in cryptocurrencies. Help.  I was thinking Litecoin, is it a good idea? I recommend you to invest in the BTC & ETH. I think its price will be huge in these next few months and it is the best investment for the long term. |

I think Ethereum is quite potential and you can invest in it for a long time without fear of failure. It appears mostly in large projects, trading floors and in the Altcoin market. So it will probably replace Bitcoin in the future

If you want to go for long term i can always suggest you to go fot bitcoin. If you like to add some altcoins which have alreeady established you can add some aswell to get higher returns

I won't choose Litecoin. If you plan to make a long-term investment, Ripple and XMR will have more potential than Litecoin. In addition, I think bitcoin may be able to really grow for a long time.

In addition, Ethereum and Litecoin, because this coin has a good development, I think it is suitable if used for long-term investment. Moreover Ethereum and Litecoin have interesting advantages such as low cost and fast, the growth of this coin is also very good. If you want to hold, try to hold for 6 months or more. Because of my experience holding a coin for 6 months or more can make a good profit. And of course all have a risk of losing because crypto continues to fluctuate, but seeing the development of this coin I believe the risk of losing is very small.

None of the existing coins can be 100% safe. every coin's price goes up and down, and if you start panicking and sell at low, you lose. if you keep calm and hold-you earn. Except the cases when a coin's price will never rise again. to avoid such a situation, invest in first 10 marketcap.

But do you stick to that coin till the end of that 6mon/1yr period even if the prices drop bellow half the starting value? Everybody say that BTC is a safe bet but what about alts that are cheap, is it a good idea to by 100 different cheap alts and hope for just one to sky rocket? I mean 12000$ is a lot of money to play around. |

I think they have possibility the price of litecoin will becone $1000 and for sure this year 2018 and after few years possible 5000 dollars plus

Many people are predicting that in the middle of the year, bitcoin will be surprising us once again so grab this opportunity and invest on bitcoin while the value is still low. You will totally regret it if you are going to invest on other coin. For me, it is a nonsense - to invest in one cryptocurrency all 12 thousand. Why cannot the author of the thread think about another option? He can pick several altcoins that are the most promising, and buy them. |

Buy 50% on btc and Ethereum. The rest diversify it to some alts that you think would grow a lot. Top 10 is safe.
I think 12000$ is too much for a start. But If I were you, 100% in ETH and I hope it will return 1000$ soon.

in crypto market have risk so better to invest on top 20 coins to reduce the risk,my view better to invest on NEO,EHT,LTC and EOS this coins have good chances grow up price in coming days if you invest on ETH only then also fine because more ICOs are depended by ETH and it as upgraded project, some countries planed prject with ETH
