If you are looking for an established altcoin, then you can go for either Cardano or NEO. Both are having huge user-bases in East Asia (Japan for Cardano and China for NEO). A few other coins which can be considered are NEM, Stellar and Qtum.

When you have plan to make invest in cryptocurrencies for long term, you have to know and understanding about fundamental of the coins. And buy and hold minimum 2 different coins, Litecoin in my opinion one of the coin that have good and strong fundamental, others coins is for sure BTC, DASH, XLM and ETH. All these coins enable to going up multiple times.  But by look in to history of many price action of crypto , actually swing trading is more promising profit than hold.

actually to tell you the thruth im not expert also in picking a good crypto coins,but due to some of my experience and always researching and monitoring in the coin market caps characteristic data,even a little a can figure  little hope of which coins is still profitable now even the blockchain market is in the red flags situation,so therefore for me i still always pick up the ethereum as a long term investment,because its only an altcoins that mostly usable in the market because its only crypto coins that contains an erc20.

I would invest in some of the top ten altcoins. You can choose them by yourself. They are all different and have potential. Just make some researches and inform yourself good about the coin. And when you mean longterm, then just stay in your opinion in long term. DO not check the charts everyday, and let the coins just be on your wallet and look to the charts in one year or more!

You are planning to invest good amount, my advise to invest into multiple Altcoins rather investing in one coin. Litecoin is a also good option for long term but better to invest in other coin like ADA, IOTA, Steller and Monero.
