That's good to know, I'm even interested more with the progress of bitcoin in Japan. Giving a part of people's salary in bitcoin seems to be a good idea. They really want to push through bitcoin transactions and this is just the start of it. But just like what others are saying here that we shouldn't expect too much or else we will be broke after not reaching our expectation. We had to wait it's result and on how it will be affecting the price.

The Japanese news is excellent. I do wish that more companies start paying part of employee's salary in bitcoin.
It's like a retirement fund, IMO.

Thats a great new for all bitcoiners. This clearly indicates government as well as private sectors recognising demand of bitcoin. Bitcoin is  the future of currency. People all over the world choosing it for trading and investment also as payment system.
Government and private companies now considering the demand of population and adapting new policeies, thats good.

Usa is selling seized Bitcoins money and converting it back to usd, this shows they are interested in the coin and will be happy to allow price hikes happen cause they'll profit a lot from sales. I feel usa shall sooner or later back Bitcoins indirectly.

While a Japanese company has decided to pay part salary in Bitcoins, now how many of us wish we're part of that company don't we? Their motto to spread Bitcoins and gain more knowledge on its working that's good right for the crypto king.

https://amp.theguardian.com/technology/2017/dec/15/japanese-company-paying-employees-bitcoin

Both countries are highly developed ones. And both no doubt are very much aware that Bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrencies exist because people are supporting it. In Japan in particular, Bitcoin is very much vibrant and so many Japanese are into crypto. USA has a very stringent rules regarding crypto, their SEC is not even allowing its citizens to participate in any ICOs. But otherwise, everything's pretty bright for Bitcoin's existence.

If the USA or any other nation state, hoarded those coins and not sold them, then I would have been more excited. The signal that they are giving by selling and converting to fiat currency, is not good. If they were going to support Bitcoin in the future, then they would rather hoard those coins.

Japan is a leader in the Bitcoin scene at the moment and I am glad that paying salaries in Bitcoin is going mainstream now. <It was possible before, but not many employers were doing it>

Thank you for sharing. Happy to see good news and adoption for Bitcoin. Yes, I wish I can work for the Japanese firm and I hope more companies will follow and pay salary in BTC.

There are many small good news in the scene right now  which one way or another can be helping Bitcoin stay in the level where it is now and from time to time making some small headway maybe looking forward to that targeted $20K level. Despite all the problems affecting the Bitcoin network (which should be given the remedies ASAP), we are still experiencing a very resilient Bitcoin. In 2018, we are hoping that Bitcoin can be more valuable and that problems affecting it can gradually be solved.

This is definitely good news coming from the two big Countries. More power to bitcoin!
Now bitcoin price will rise even higher, I don't think it is gonna fall from its current stable 16-17k+ value.
Maybe we'll see 50K in 2018.

That is already expected of Japan. Its government has backed bitcoin. Not to mention japan trade is said to be almost half of the global trade volume. Just recently, there was a company that paid bitcoin for some of their employees salary. And US has also been backing bitcoin ever since. The US has also been supportive of bitcoin. In fact the US has the most number of bitcoin atm. Clewrly these 2 countries understand the aim and purpose of cryptocurrency.

this is amazing bitcoin already used in developed countries like USA and japan, this is a factor pusher bitcoin price higher, if in my country bitcoin legitimate, but in my country bitcoin still not yet validated, because there are still using bitcoin for crime like corruption , so the government bans bitcoin in my country

I don't think that we should take this a good sign from them. They are just cashing it out, and they are right, perfect time  to convert it to USD because the price is mooning. That's lots of cash to help whatever cause they want with the millions. They can even buy another sophisticated  toys or venture it in an "experiment project" to catch criminals who are using bitcoin to hide their activity.

I also don't think that this will have a impact to the market. The only effect I see is that maybe some of those who have been paid in bitcoin will somewhat re-invest in into the ecosystem. But I wouldn't be surprise if they are not. No need for them to spread the knowledge since Japan has already legalized bitcoin. By this time I assumed everyone is already familiar with it. There's also a lot of questions in my mind regarding the payment system, but I will just keep it myself. You can't really stop admiring Japan though, they are really leading this bitcoin march to the next level.

A company in Japan started paying some of its employees' salaries using Bitcoin.

Quoted from The Guardian, Friday (15/12/2017), GMO Internet Company wants its employees to gain a better understanding of the virtual currency that is currently popular.Bitcoin world prices have risen globally this year. In January 2017, the price of Bitcoin worth US $ 1,000 or Rp 13.5 million, now the price jumped to 17,000 US dollars or Rp 230 million this week.

I really appreciate GMO's step to pay employees with Bitcoin, as Bitcoin is going more high every day, GMO employees will see good money soon if they hold the rest after their expenses.

They are not interested in Bitcoin and the US government will never ever back it while there is the Dollar.  They are interested in extracting the fiat immediately after the ruling of the courts.  There is no speculation here.  It's a form of claw-back.  You are spreading false hope here.

Indeed, government liquidating their BTC is not at all what we call supporting BTC in anyway. They are rather getting rid of their BTC holding at good price and must be expecting a dump. Regarding Japan, we have tons of examples of businesses there supporting Bitcoin in one way or other. Many of the shops there are accepting Bitcoin and using it. One company giving salary in Bitcoin that too to some employees isn't really big a deal.

This kind of good news is very exciting, you look at today's market, and most of the rise, is it too crazy? No, I think it's just starting now. Let's look forward to 2018. There may be Britain, Germany, China, India, Canada...
