CME is about to list BTC futures, CME is apparently the largest exchanger in the world their involvement in BTC and cryptocurrency is not trivial, with big money from institutional banks and private funds they probably can dictate price, is there any expert here can breakdown in details as how their involvement can move the market, is their quote will fed into other pure cryptocurrency exchanger quote or they will be separate quote that they will be trading their BTC futures.

some articles stated grim reality of this but looks like BTC community find its a good support from mainstream financial institutional hence the $6600 all time high

Anyone have expert opinion please share your thought, probably we can voice our opinion to CME to steer them into right direction to avoid any disastrous end like CDO and other packaged and layered financial instrument that resulted in crisis in the past, as everyone can see Gold and Silver should be in line with BTC price movement but its now nowhere near as correlated to BTC price movement

I have seen a similar post sometimes yesterday about CME group is about to start a bitcoin future contract in the main-stream money market. I visited the website after that news and see that their website is featuring a recent article on a comparison between bitcoin gold. However, it was not mentioned anywhere that they are going to bring such product into the market.

However, if it happens, it will be a great news to the crypto community because we will see a lot of white money flowing in to bitcoin market through CME future contract. This will increase the credibility and acceptability of bitcoin among the mass resulting in huge price increase. It will have a very positive impact on the market. But there's no rock-solid proof that CME group is going to enter bitcoin market.

I am looking at it as a positive news that will help introduce Bitcoins to those who think that Bitcoin is a bubble. If CME Group can see a bright future in Bitcoins, this can influence other parties to follow however its a double edged sword, if the announcement of CME Group somehow affected the current price of Bitcoin, this also means they can also bring the price down if they decided stop using it after testing the market.

Alright, CME futures trading launched, no major pullback observed.

At this point in time, what do you think CME and CBOE futures trading will do to BitCoin?

In my trading I typically try to stay away from BTC and keep my funds in fiat, just to be on the safe side.

What's your trading tactics?

There is obviously an example of CBOE futures launch on 10 December, when Bitcoin made one of the largest growth in % in 5 minutes time, I think the same will happen upon CME launch. I have a quick video proving my point, would be glad to hear your feedback:
