We are excited to release fastminer 1.0, which is a new ETH/ETC mining software providing
1. support both AMD and Nvidia cards
2. support of different pool types
3. free of any dev fee
4. of course, no switch between normal and dev fee mining
5. faster than any other free miners
6. clean, we have used the online virus scan tool with the report at https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/94138335e68c7bccb486257905fe3f51cfaa7dc50719cbeac2c800af53b58a64/analysis/1520753889/ -- there is 1 red item showing it is a CUDA miner which is exactly true.

The performance is promising. With my rig (3 x 570 and 2 x 580), it consistently produces 133M hashes with 845 watts of power; while Claymore 10.0 produces 136M hashes with 870 watts of power.  But claymore is not free and it has switch cost.  We've checked the mining pool result, both fastminer and claymore produce 130M - 132M hash with little fluctuation.
As there isn't any dev fee, you pay the power bills for your own return.

Of course, we will to add more features soon, including but not limited to:
1. fallback addresses
2. linux support
3. remote monitoring
4. support more crypto currencies
5. better performance

People might ask why we haven't open-sourced the software as long as it is free. Free software does not have to be open-sourced.

Please feel free to download version 1.0 at https://github.com/fastminerX/fastminer/releases/tag/1.0, and let us know any issues, your experiences or suggestions.

Example usages are:
fastminer.exe --server-url us1.ethermine.org:4444 --wallet-address 0xcCF67972e5cdc819fDa0F217282D564E0C5b76dd.rig1
fastminer.exe --server-url eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008  --wallet-address 0xcCF67972e5cdc819fDa0F217282D564E0C5b76dd
fastminer.exe --server-url guangdong-pool.ethfans.org:13333 --wallet-address 0xcCF67972e5cdc819fDa0F217282D564E0C5b76dd.rig1
fastminer --server-url  eth-eu1.nanopool.org:8888 --wallet-address 0xcCF67972e5cdc819fDa0F217282D564E0C5b76dd

Anyone like this software could support us via:

Thanks and happy mining!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Thanks for providing this. I am testing it on Windows 7 and it is working. Might be a tad slower than claymore but free is priced right for me. I will see how it does and may try it on Win 10.

Why would i use this over claymore or phoenix?

Just because its "free" that doesn't mean its better and you haven't posted anything indicating this is better than what already exists.
In my opinion your incompetence with this thread post probably reflects your incompetence with miner's code.

I'm assuming its free till it is more established? Then possibly a fee will be added?

I will try it later this evening and see the stats. But if it is true what you say then I'm with that and do like diversity.

Cheers.

1. You burn your electrocity for your own return, fastminer draws less power.
2. Claymore and phoenix does perform a little better at your end, but the difference is so little that a little fluctuation of the pool could wipe it out.

Why would i use this over claymore or phoenix?

Are you able to boost it to same power as the others? I got cheap power and would rather get the most out I can.

It depends how much advantage we could build over other software.

Thanks for trying it!
